Abstract

AbstractQS An-Nisa verse 3 is one of the verses that explains the command to do justice for women and orphans. However, there are many misunderstandings in interpreting this meaning, there are some people who think that the verse recommends polygamy, without considering the principle of justice and the conditions for polygamy. Therefore, research is needed on the true meaning of QS An-nisa verse 3. The objectives of this study are: (1) to explain the origins of the revelation of QS An-Nisa verse 3 and (2) to explain the meaning of QS An-Nisa in viewing polygamy. The method used is descriptive analytic using textual and contextual approaches. The results of this study indicate that QS An-Nisa places more emphasis on orders to protect women's rights and justice, especially orphans and ensure gender equality for women. As for the origins of the revelation of QS An-Nisa verse 3, namely the behavior of the people of the Arab region during the uhud war who arbitrarily treated orphans. The verse also encourages humans to monogamy as a step to avoid unfair actions against women, because basically humans cannot be fair.

Abstract

This study aims to examine Ibn Khaldun's thoughts on the concept of education as outlined in his book titled Muqaddimah. The research method used is a literature review of the primary source, the Book of Muqaddimah, supported by other sources such as journal articles, research results, and findings which are then analyzed to draw conclusions. The results of the study indicate that Ibn Khaldun paid significant attention to the field of education in addition to his expertise in sociology. In his monumental work, Muqaddimah, Ibn Khaldun elaborates on various aspects of education, including the nature of education itself, the classification of knowledge, the goals of education/teaching, effective teaching methods, stages of education, and the integration of religious knowledge with rational sciences. Ibn Khaldun refutes the dichotomy of knowledge by striving to understand revelation with the help of reason/intellect. To this day, the educational concepts formulated by Ibn Khaldun remain relevant and can be applied to the modern educational era, which emphasizes affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects. Ibn Khaldun's concept of education in the Muqaddimah encompasses these three important aspects of modern education. Ibn Khaldun's thoughts on education in the Muqaddimah have implications for modern education, as evidenced by his concepts on educational goals, teaching methods, curriculum, and educators in the Muqaddimah, which have implications for modern education.

Abstract

This article aims to understand the differences in the definition of usury between the time of the Prophet Muhammad and today because it influences the views and laws regarding usury in society. It is important for the parties involved to understand the risks and consequences associated with currency fluctuations before entering into such transactions. As Muslims, understanding how usury is applied in today's context is important in carrying out financial practices that are in accordance with Islamic religious principles. This article uses a literature study method by analyzing a comparative study of the understanding of usury at the time of the Prophet Muhammad with usury in modern times that uses currency (fiat), referring to the book of fiqh in looking at the definition of usury which currently needs to be reviewed. The main purpose of religion forbidding usury is to maintain justice and avoid charging unfair interest, while taking into account risks and other relevant factors in financial transactions. In practice, an understanding of Islamic financial instruments helps choose financial products with sharia principles. So that you can choose a loan that does not involve usury (interest) orgharar (uncertainty) in transactions.
