Abstract

This article aims to explain the idea of wahdah al-wujudIbn Arabi in the frame of Henry Corbin’s creative imagination. Wahdah al-wujud is still being debated among philosophers. Some of them say wahdah al-wujud is the same as pantheism and panenteism and some say its not with both. With a descriptive qualitative method and based on library research, this study shows that creative imagination (theophysical imagination) is a form of God revealing himself, showing himself, to himself by distinguishing himself with its hidden existence. This creation is the same as the appearance of God (tajalli ilahi). In this creation there is no concept of creation ex nihilo(creation out of nothing), this creation already existed from God itself through the tanaffus process. Creative imagination as a theophanic is a process of creation not of nothing or something different from Himself, but from His fundamental form that is hidden in His own form without the existence of a creative imagination that is difficult to realize God in the midst of human life.

Abstract

Perkembangan ilmu hadis mencapai puncaknya pada masa keempat dan disempurnakan pada masa kelima. Mengapa dianggap demikian, karena pada masa keenam proses pembelajaran ilmu hadis berhenti dan tidak ada yang melanjutkan suatu discourse tentang ilmu hadis yang nanti baru akan muncul kembali pada masa ketujuh. Dalam suatu proses pengkajian keilmuan tidak bisa dilepaskan dari adayanya seorang tokoh yang meprakasia perubahan pada masanya bebgitu juga dengan ilmu hadis pada masa kempat dan kelima dengan memghasilkan tohoh seperti Imama Malik bin Anas dan Isma’il bin Ibrahim atau yang sering kita kenal sebagai Imam al-Bukhari. Mereka berdua adalah tokoh yang paling menonjol pada masanya walaupun banyak tokoh-tokoh yang lain. Maka dari itu pada masa keempat dan kelima bisa dikatakan sebagai masa Revolusioner dalam suatu discourse tentang hadis. Kata kunci: Imam Malik, Imam al-Bukhari, Revolusioner, dan Ilmu Hadis

Abstract

Artikel ini ingin membahas bagaimana hubungan ulama Timur Tengah dengan kepulauan Nusantara abad ke-XVII dank e-XVIII melalui pemikiran Azyumardi Azra. Di mana jaringan ulama ini yang akan menemukan corak baru dalam tradisi keislaman di Timur Tengah dan Nusantara yakni berupa neo-sufisme. Neo-sufisme ini bukan tradisi keislaman modern yang muncul abad ke-XIX atau abad ke-XX melainkan pembaruan ini sudah dimulai abad ke-XVII kemudian disempurnakan pada abad ke-XVIII. Corak pembaruan ini meskipun bersifat kebaharuan tidak menghilangkan paradigma lama mengenai tasawuf. Tasawuf yang bersifat ex-travagant masih dipraktikan disejumlah orang di Mekkah. Meski demikian tidak terbukti bahwa para ulama kita berusaha menghapuskan seluruh aspek tradisi lebih awal dari tarekat-tarekat. Tidak hanya itu saja, neo-sufisme juga menjawab tuduhan kaum modernis yang mengganggap bahwa tasawuf hanya berkutat masalah jalan spriritual saja melainkan juga berkontibusi besar dalam urusan duniawi seperti  Syekh Yusud al-Maqassari yang menjadi pemimpin perang dan Arsyad al-Banjiri sebagai mufti dan seruan berjihad melawan kaum kolonialis.

Abstract

This article wants to explain how the concept of Islamization of science as Aufklarung for Muslims. The spread of secularism in the Islamic world has brought Muslims under the dichotomy of the West. They are trapped by Western knowledge which is skeptical on the basis of rationalism and empiricism. This epistemology is not in accordance with the spirit, the scientific spirit of Muslims. Muslims have their own epistemology of knowledge based on the principles of Islamic teachings from the Qur'an and Sunnah and the spirit of divine knowledge. Therefore Sayed Naquib al-Attas developed the concept of Islamization of science as an enlightener (Aufklarung) for Muslims. By using the library research method and using primary sources in the form of the original work of Sayed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas and secondary sources that support this research. The research is expected to answer the concept of Islamization of knowledge as an era of enlightenment (Aufklarung) which was developed by al-Attas. This Islamization becomes the basis of Islamic knowledge that must be disseminated by every individual Muslim, because they are all responsible for Islamic knowledge. Because with this enlightenment movement, Muslims will be independent and find themselves in accordance with the spirit of Islamic principles that do not follow Western knowledge. With the Aufklarung movement, throught the discourse cam develop Muslim personalities so that Muslims can give birth to goodness, Justice, and The strength of faith.

Abstract

The debate about the democratic system in Islamic State has not ended. This is because there are Muslim groups that are inclusive in nature who do not want to accept all teachings or conceptions that come from the West, especially regarding the democratic system. This group is known as an Islamist group that applies the principles of formalization of sharia. However, in another spectrum there are Muslim groups who openly accept the democratic system originating from the West. Because for them the democratic and Islamic System are mutually compatible, there is no conflict. By using the library research method, this research wants to find answers to the confusion regarding the existing government system in an Islamic country or a country with a Muslim majority population. Because this government system is important in not changing the Islamic state. Changes that can compete with other countries in the West, which until now have not been able to stand side by side with Islamic countries regarding a good and well-ordered political system.

Abstract

This article examines Mehdi Golshani thoughts on the integration of knowledge, which is integration between sacred sciences and secular sciences during the Covid-19 pandemic. The debates that have arisen in the community between religious people and scientists regarding Covid-19 can be resolved if they are put together in a science forum. For this reason, Mehdi Golshani came up with a new idea that was different from the previous Muslim scientific ideas. Mehdi Golshani's solution regarding the debate between religion and science is not deconstruction, reconstruction, or reconciliation. However, to find answers of questions in society about the contributions of religionists and scientists is a method of integration with the Islamic science formula. The conclusion of this article is that science and Islam are an integral part that cannot be separated or even disputed. Science desperately needs divine and religious entities to be filled with a scientific dimension.

Abstract

Teori pengembangan dan penyusutan merupakan tawaran baru yang digaungkan oleh Soroush dalam menjawab problematika umat Islam selama ini. teorinya merupakan pelengkap dari gerakan revivalis sesudahnya, baik yang klasik sampai yang modern. Gagasan teori ini tentu menginginkan bagaimana umat Islam bisa membedakan di antara agama dan ilmu pengetahuan agama yang dihasilkan oleh manusia. Sebab, ilmu pengetahuan yang dihasilkan oleh manusia sifatnya temporal tidak sakral bisa benar dan bisa salah, sedangkan agama sendiri sifatnya sakral. melalui pemahaman ini Soroush ingin menunjukkan bahwa Qabd dan Bast adalah teori untuk memahamkan umat Islam yang selama ini masih jumud dan tertinggal. Dengan menggunakan metode library research dengan cara menelaah sumber primer dan sekunder dan kemudian menghasilkan pemahaman baru, bahwa gagasan ini memberikan dampak yang luar biasa bagi umat Islam di seluruh belahan dunia. Sebab, teori ini menyadarkan umat Islam dari kejumudannya atas pemahaman terhadap ilmu pengetahuan agama yang selama ini masih keliru dan belum bisa melakukan integrasi antara agama dan ilmu pengetahuan yang dibutuhkan bagi dirinya sendiri secara privat, umat Islam secara umum.

Abstract

This study aims to examine Ibn Khaldun's thoughts on the concept of education as outlined in his book titled Muqaddimah. The research method used is a literature review of the primary source, the Book of Muqaddimah, supported by other sources such as journal articles, research results, and findings which are then analyzed to draw conclusions. The results of the study indicate that Ibn Khaldun paid significant attention to the field of education in addition to his expertise in sociology. In his monumental work, Muqaddimah, Ibn Khaldun elaborates on various aspects of education, including the nature of education itself, the classification of knowledge, the goals of education/teaching, effective teaching methods, stages of education, and the integration of religious knowledge with rational sciences. Ibn Khaldun refutes the dichotomy of knowledge by striving to understand revelation with the help of reason/intellect. To this day, the educational concepts formulated by Ibn Khaldun remain relevant and can be applied to the modern educational era, which emphasizes affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects. Ibn Khaldun's concept of education in the Muqaddimah encompasses these three important aspects of modern education. Ibn Khaldun's thoughts on education in the Muqaddimah have implications for modern education, as evidenced by his concepts on educational goals, teaching methods, curriculum, and educators in the Muqaddimah, which have implications for modern education.

Abstract

This article wants to explain the framework of Muhammad Iqbal's thinking in studying the renewal of Islamic knowledge in the form of hadith, in this case from a hermenutics perspective. Of course, what Muhammad Iqbal did received responses from two different sides in the form of those who agreed with the reform framework and those who did not agree with the reform framework, especially with the word hermeneutics. Those who do not agree with the heremeneutical framework prioritize the takwil framework, but in this case it is not that meaning that is discussed in this article but what is discussed is the hermeneutic framework. By using the library research method using primary sources written directly by Muhammad Iqbal and adding secondary sources in data processing, researchers found that the hadith conveyed by the Prophet must be able to be explained using a hermeneutical framework that is appropriate to social conditions. So, the meaning associated with hadith must be sought again within the framework of hermeneutics as a modern science. The hermenutics of hadith that must be understood is hadith hermeneutics, not the transfer of hadith texts to a new context arbitrarily, otherwise the hadith texts would be static and devoid of change. But what Muhammad Iqbal wanted was that the text must live up to the times. Where hadiths that do not fit into the framework of change and cannot keep up with the times do not have to be followed.

Abstract

This article discusses the Islamization of culture through the Mitoni tradition with the reading of verses of the Qur'an in the form of QS. At-Taubah in Klapasawit Village, Buluspesantren, Kebumen. This study aims to find out the mitoni procession with thereading of QS. At-Taubah and know the reasons and objectives of the QS election. At-Taubah which was read during the Mitoni Tradition in Klapasawit Village. This study uses a qualitative research method with the type of field research and uses phenomenological approach. The primary data source in this study is the local community who practice the Mitoni Tradition. The secondary data sources are in the form of information from books, books and journals related to the object of research. Data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. As a result of his research, the Mitoni Tradition procession began with a tasyakuran event in which QS read it. At-Taubah by seven people at the same time. After that, the procession continued at pregnant women who are being mitoni, making rujak, etc. The reason for the selection of QS. At-Taubah in the procession of the Mitoni Tradition in Klapasawit Village is because the meaning of the word at-Taubah itself means "forgiveness" or etymologically means "return". Thus, the purpose of the reading of QS. This at-Taubah is to remind, especially the pregnant woman to always return or repent to Allah so that her sins are forgiven and ask to always be given health and the safety of both mother and baby.
