Abstract

In today's era, information exchange is fast and can be done in various ways and one of them is using email. There are many free email service providers that can be used, such as Gmail, Yahoo Mail and Outlook. In addition to free services, email servers can also be used to serve communication between clients and transfer data over the local network using a custom domain for the company. The purpose of this report is to build your own email server using the server development method using the Linux Ubuntu 18.04 operating system and the software Postfix and Dovecot as its supports. The results of this mail server work can send emails from one user to another through the terminal directly correctly. Sending can be done directly using the terminal without creating a text first or creating a text before sending it. Both ways are equally successful in the main process in the mail server.

Abstract

Di era digital ini belum banyak orang yang mengetahui fungsi email. Padahal, dengan mengetahui fungsi email bisa memanfaatkan kehadirannya secara maksimal. Email merupakan sebuah surat elektronik yang digunakan sebagai sarana untuk berkirim dan menerima pesan dengan format digital. Dewasa ini mail server web hosting maupun tanpa hosting semakin marak digunakan karena dapat mempermudah aktivitas bertukar informasi antar karyawan maupun perusahaan. Terlepas dari itu, penggunaan mail server sedikit banyak juga mampu meningkatkan citra perusahaan karena alamat email menggunakan domain sebagai identitas perusahaan. Mail server mempermudah kita dan layanan ini menariknya dapat digunakan dengan menggunakan domain sendiri. Jika biasanya kita hanya menggunakan namaemail@gmail.com atau namaemail@yahoo.com pada layanan kita, maka dengan menggunakan email Server, kita dapat melakukan konfigurasi untuk menggunakan Email dengan nama domain sendiri. Salah satu mail server yang cukup populer adalah iRedMail server, IRedmail merupakan salah satu solusi Email server open source pada Sistem Operasi Linux. IRedmail sendiri tersedia untuk Ubuntu, Centos, RedHat dan Debian. IRedmail menawarkan panel admin berbasis web, dimana pada panel tersebut kita dapat melakukan beberapa konfigurasi untuk pengoperasian Mail Server.

Abstract

Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology has an important role in today's world of communication, VPNs are able to create local networks using facilities. Because a corporate VPN can make connecting information easy and secure. But nowadays, VPNs are gaining popularity for personal use due to the increasing number of interactions that require users to surf the web. On a VPN system that uses the Point to Point Tunneling Tradition (PPTP) method that we created, we use a server from Linux that will connect to Windows as a user. So that clients or windows can connect to the web using a VPN server from linux.

Abstract

Face recognition is an area that is still being researched and improved for various purposes such as attendance, population data collection, security systems and others. Two methods that are often used for face recognition applications are artificial intelligence methods, especially back-propagation neural networks (ANN) and learning vector quantization. Both of these techniques are directed learning techniques that are widely used to identify distinctive patterns, namely grouping patterns into groups of patterns, making them ideal for use in facial recognition applications. In this application, preprocessing of the input image includes the detection process of scaling, grayscale, edged with the sobel and threshold methods, carried out before the image is processed in ANN. Meanwhile, the ANN approach used to identify faces involves the Backpropagation method and the Learning Vector Quantization method. The findings of this analysis are a comparison of the backpropagation neural network method and quantization of the learning vectors of face recognition used to assess variations, limitations, strengths and optimal results of the two techniques for use in facial recognition systems.
