Abstract

This research aims to utilize the resources and technology used by teachers in Indonesian language education using qualitative descriptive methods. Data was collected through interviews and observations of 5 Indonesian language teachers. The research instrument is a semi-structured interview guide which was prepared based on a literature review and research objectives. Interviews were conducted either face-to-face or via communication tools such as telephone or video call and lasted 45-60 minutes per session. All interviews were recorded with the consent of the participants. Data analysis was carried out descriptively to identify main themes regarding the impact of the use of technology on Indonesian language learning, challenges for the future, and strategies for optimizing the use of technology. The validity and reliability of the interview is guaranteed through thorough preparation, consistent execution, and thorough analysis. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide significant recommendations for further development of the use of technology in Indonesian language education.

Abstract

This research comprehensively discusses assessment in education, starting from the meaning, function, principles, types of assessment, to the assessment techniques used. Assessment is defined as the process of gathering information to make decisions regarding students, curriculum, programs, and educational policies. The assessment function includes understanding student learning progress, improving teaching strategies, and determining graduation. The assessment principles include keeping track, checking up, finding out, and summing up, and focus on competency achievement, validity and reliability of assessment tools, balance of process and results, use of various methods and tools, continuous assessment, and assessment functions. Types of assessment include diagnostic, formative, summative, selective, and placement assessments, as well as assessment of learning, assessment for learning, and assessment as learning. Assessment techniques are divided into test and non-test techniques. Test techniques include performance assessment, product assessment, project assessment, and portfolio assessment. Non-test techniques include observation sheets. This paper is expected to provide a better understanding of assessment and its application in improving the quality of education.

Abstract

This article examines the implementation of Google Sites as a platform for developing a digital magazine by students of MAN 3 Solok. The research aims to describe the design, execution, and evaluation processes of utilizing Google Sites in creating a digital magazine, as well as to identify the challenges and benefits encountered. The method employed involved training and direct mentoring for 20 members of the student council at MAN 3 Solok. The results indicate that 70% of participants successfully accessed the website and created the digital magazine effectively, while 30% faced operational and infrastructure-related technical challenges. The use of Google Sites has proven effective in enhancing digital literacy, creativity, and collaboration among students in creating digital-based school publications. Through this activity, students not only gained technical skills but also developed essential creative thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative abilities in the digital era.
