<![CDATA[The entry of forest plantations company PT. WSL with a sustainable management system and forest conservation is expected to increase the income and welfare of the community around forest plantations, especially for Radak II River Village. The purpose of this study is to understand the level of community perception of the existence PT.WSL and to analyze the relationship independent variable: income levels, number of family dependents, and knowledge of the community perception of the existence of PT. WSL. The method used is the survey technique of purposive sampling and interview. The sample number of this study is 85 respondents who are heads of households and domiciled at least 5 years. Data analysis consists of community perception, the relationship between community perception and income level, and the number of family-dependent, knowledge levels. The results of the study showed a significant difference in the perception of the community of Radak II River Village towards the existence of PT. WSL and 50.59% of the community tend to have negative perceptions. There is a positive and unsignificant relationship, between the level of income and the community perception. There is a negative and significant relationship, between number of family dependents and community perception. There is a positive and significant relationship between the level of knowledge and the public's perception, meaning that the community understands that so far the contribution PT. WSL in improving the socioeconomic and environmental conditions of the radak II River Village community is still very minimal (small) to cause community perception of PT. WSL dengan sistem pengelolaan yang lestari dan pelestarian hutan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat sekitar hutan tanaman khususnya Desa Sungai Radak II. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat persepsi masyarakat terhadap keberadaan PT.WSL dan menganalisis hubungan variabel bebas: tingkat pendapatan, jumlah tanggungan keluarga, dan pengetahuan dengan persepsi masyarakat terhadap keberadaan PT. WSL. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei dengan teknik purposive sampling dan wawancara. Jumlah sampel penelitian ini 85 responden adalah kepala rumah tangga dan berdomisili minimal 5 tahun. Analisis data terdiri dari persepsi masyarakat, hubungan persepsi masyarakat dengan tingkat pendapatan, jumlah tanggungan keluarga, tingkat pengetahuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan persepsi masyarakat Desa Sungai Radak II yang signifikan terhadap keberadaan PT. WSL dan 50,59% masyarakat cenderung memiliki persepsi negatif. Terdapat hubungan yang positif dan tidak signifikan antara tingkat pendapatan dengan persepsi masyarakat. Terdapat hubungan yang negatif dan signifikan antara jumlah tanggungan keluarga dengan persepsi masyarakat. Terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan persepsi masyarakat, artinya masyarakat memahami bahwa selama ini kontribusi PT. WSL dalam meningkatkan kondisi sosial ekonomi dan lingkungan masyarakat desa sungai radak II masih sangat minim (kecil) sehingga menimbulkan persepsi masyarakat terhadap PT.
