Abstract

The Praktisi Mengajar program is thought to have an important role in improving the quality of student learning in tertiary institutions. Universities invite practitioners as guest lecturers for certain courses with the hope of providing practical experience to students so they are better prepared to face the world of work after graduation. However, there are still many unanswered questions regarding the effectiveness of Praktisi Mengajar in improving course outcomes. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the Praktisi Mengajar program effects course outcomes and to describe student perceptions of the program. The study's findings indicate that the Praktisi Mengajar Program has an impact on KPMI course outcomes, and a description of students' positive perceptions toward the program was collected.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of project-based learning on mathematical critical thinking skills in the quadratic function material of class X of St. Paul's Private High School T.A 2024/2025. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive. The research population is all class X and the research sample consists of 64 students of class X. The sampling technique is carried out by random sampling technique. The instruments used are tests in the form of description questions, questionnaires and observation sheets. The results of the study are seen from the indicators of effectiveness that are met, namely the systematics of learning in the good category, the communication of the teacher in the good category, the response of the students in the good category, the activities of the students in the good category, and the achievement of learning in the category is achieved. The results of the study show that project-based learning is effective on students' mathematical critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan penalaran dan pemahaman konsep serta faktor penyebab rendahnya kemampuan penalaran dan pemahahan konsep belajar matematika siswa pada materi pecahan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil 2023/2024 di SMP Swasta HKBP Sidorame Medan. Instrumen pada penelitian ini adalah berupa soal tes kemampuan penalaran dan pemahaman konsep matematis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian kesalahan yang dialami mahasiswa per indikator kemampuan penalaran dan pemahaman konsep yaitu 1) dalam memahami soal pernyataan matematika dalam berbagai bentuk representasi matematis sebesar 76,19%, 2) menganalisis dan memanfaatkan serta memilih prosedur atau operasi tertentu sebesar 66,66%, 3) kemampuan menyusun bukti, memeriksa kebenaran suatu argumen sebesar 57,14%, 4) kemampuan menarik kesimpulan atau melakukan generalisasi sebesar 85,71%. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dikerjakan oleh siswa disimpulkan terdapat kesalahan/kekeliruan yang siswa lakukan ketika mengerjakan soal. Kesalahan tersebut adalah siswa tidak membaca soal secara keseluruhan, tidak mampu membuat apa yang diketahui dan ditanya, kurang telitinya siswa dalam menggunakan operasi perhitungan, serta siswa tidak mampu dalam menarik kesimpulan.
