Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan kemampuan anak GSA dalam berbahasa ekspresif. Anak GSA tidak paham dengan Bahasa ekspresif (jatuh, jijik, perut, sendal, kerja, lelah, motor, pedas, permisi, dan ulat). Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatan kemampuan mengucapkan Bahasa ekspresif bagi siswa autism di SLB Insan Mulia Payakumbuh dengan menggunakan media video animasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen yaitu Single Subject Research (SSR) dan desain A1-B, serta data di analisis menggunakan visual grafik dengan cara memasukkan data dalam grafik yang kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan kondisi A1-B. subjek penelitian adalah seorang siswa GSA ringan di kelas IV SLB Insan Mulia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa video animasi memberikan peningkatan terhadap kemampuan mengucapkan Bahasa ekspresif siswa dilihat dari fase baseline (A1) yang dilakukan sebanyak 3 kali pertemuan, fase yang kedua intervensi (B) sebanyak sebanyak 14 kali pertemuan. Pada fase baseline (A1) menunjukkan hasil yang stabil yaitu 0% untuk 3 kali pertemuan. Fase yang kedua intervensi dihentikan pada pertemuan ke 17 karena kemampuan siswa sudah stabil dan menunjukkan penigkatan yaitu berkisar dari 10% hingga 90%. Berdasarkan perolehan data yang didapatkan disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan mengucapkan Bahasa ekspresif siswa GSA rigan meningkat setelah menggunakan video animasi dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Academics have concluded that work meaningfulness is the basic need of employees that should be pursued. However, challenges arise in creating a perception of work meaningfulness caused by various factors in the workplace. Workplace ostracism is a potential factor that can affect the perception of work meaningfulness, this is because the condition of being isolated or ostracized is often categorized as an interaction that causes pain and harm to the victim. Individual differences, especially trait mindfulness, are thought to have a strong role in the relationship between the two. Researchers gathered 305 employees from various industries to give statements to the survey given online. The results of data analysis using Moderation Analysis model 1 in PROCESS macro show that workplace ostracism is negatively correlated with work meaningfulness (b = -0.5164). The results also showed that trait mindfulness can play a role as a buffer against the negative relationship between workplace ostracism and work meaningfulness (b = 0.1146). In addition, researchers have also found that the trait mindfulness was also able to predict the employees' work meaningfulness (b = -0.2786).

Abstract

English language proficiency is an essential competency that students must possess to face global competition. However, various challenges are still encountered by educational institutions, particularly at the junior high school (SMP) level, including limited teaching resources, low student motivation, and suboptimal utilization of extracurricular programs. SMP Islam Manbaul Ulum Gresik faces similar challenges, where students' English proficiency remains relatively low. In response to this issue, this community service program was carried out with the aim of supporting the improvement of students’ English skills through the strengthening of an extracurricular program based on mentoring and training. The program was designed through four systematic stages: needs mapping, activity planning, implementation, and evaluation. The main strategies included training for mentor teachers, developing interactive materials, and conducting workshops for students. The results of the activity showed significant improvement in students’ language skills, active participation, and students’ confidence. These findings indicate that the development of contextual and collaborative extracurricular programs can serve as an effective approach to enhance English proficiency among junior high school students.
