Abstract

Indonesia adalah negara multikultural terbesar di dunia, dimana negara Indonesia terdiri dari berbagai kelompok etnis, suku, agama, budaya dan sebagainya. Keberagaman bangsa Indonesia ini dapat menjadi sebuah berkah juga musibah, berkah sebagai sebuah entitas negara dan bangsa yang mampu merawat keberagamannya namun sebaliknya menjadi sebuah musibah jika bangsa ini tidak mampu merawat keberagaman dan menjadi sebuah disharmoni seperti yang terjadi belakangan ini. Pendidikan multikultural penting diterapkan kepada peserta didik dengan harapan agar anak mampu memahami bahwa di dalam lingkungan mereka dan juga lingkungan di luarnya terdapat keragaman budaya. Keragaman budaya tersebut berpengaruh kepada tingkah laku, sikap, pola pikir manusia, sehingga manusia tersebut memiliki cara-cara (usage), kebiasaan (habbit), aturan-aturan (mores) yang berbeda dengan yang lainnya.

Abstract

This research was inspired by discourse analysis of human expressive speech act as thepart of Illocutionary act. This study aims to analyze speech act to finally describe the function ofthe society‟s expressive speech acts towards Covid-19 survivors. Using qualitative method, thisresearch was conducted in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi through observation, interviews, andrecording as data collection techniques. The instruments consist of the main instrument, which wasresearchers themselves, and supporting instruments including data analysis guides, observation,interview, and recording devices. The data was in the form of expressive words, phrases, clausesand sentences expressed by the society when communicating and interacting with Covid-19survivors. The data source was generally from the society without Covid-19 and from thesurvivors of Covid-19 who receive expressive speech act from the other. The results reveal thatthere were various function of expressive speech acts used among society during Covid-19pandemic such as the function of complaining, cursing, doubting, yelling, and fearing function.Those functions implicitly were represented to prevent Covid-19 survivors from repeating theirmistakes. Meanwhile, the functions of apologizing, condolences, motivating, and greeting wererepresented so that the people without Covid-19 can be the cause of healing for sufferers andsurvivors of Covid-19.

Abstract

Technology is widely used by students in finding learning materials. Students can find materials through E-learning media. Online learning (e-learning) is a type of learning and teaching that allows educational materials to be provided to students using the internet or other computer networks. One of the sources of E-learning that is widely used by students is e-books. This study discusses the analysis of the use of e-books to improve the effectiveness of learning for students of the Indonesian language and literature study program. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of e-books in the student learning process and also to find out the responses of students of the Indonesian language and literature study program, as well as to find out the advantages and disadvantages of using e-books. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method combined with a descriptive method, as well as conducting interviews. The results of this study indicate that the use of e-books by students of the Indonesian language and literature study program is quite effective, because it helps students in the learning process, such as finding literature and references in making papers or scientific works and research. The use of e-books is said to be effective because it can be accessed anytime and anywhere so that it can facilitate the learning process, and the costs incurred are less than buying physical books.
