Abstract

The success and survival of a company is greatly influenced by the performance of its employees. This is because optimal performance from every individual in the organization plays an important role in achieving company goals and maintaining smooth operations. Employees who perform well not only make a positive contribution to achieving business targets, but also form the foundation for the company's sustainable growth and competitiveness in the market. The aim of this research is to carry out an analysis of work motivation and discipline at CV Hilal Dermawan Anugrah, to carry out an analysis of performance at CV Hilal Dermawan Anugrah, and how to analyze the influence of work motivation and discipline on the performance of CV Hilal Dermawan Anugrah employees. Mangkunegara (2018; 93) states that motivation is a condition that moves employees to be able to achieve the goals of their motives.  Motivation is a condition or energy that moves employees who are directed or aimed at achieving the company's organizational goals. A pro and positive mental attitude towards work situations is what strengthens work motivation to achieve maximum performance. Keith Davis in Mangkunegara, (2018; 129) states that work discipline is a management implementation to strengthen organizational guidelines. According to Rivai and Basri (2015; 14) in Nasution and Setiawan (2021) say that the definition of performance is the willingness of a person or group of people to carry out an activity and perfect it in accordance with responsibilities with the results as expected. This research was carried out using a descriptive qualitative approach at the CV Hilal Darmawan Nugraha Company with calculations using averages. The results of this research show that the average for the motivation variable is 34% if we compare it with the criteria then the value is in the Poor/Low category then the average for the Discipline variable is 36% if we compare it with the criteria then the value is at Poor category, employee performance related to achieving production targets is not good, the company is still faced with challenges related to product quality. Efforts are continuously made by the head of production and company owners to ensure that every product produced meets high quality standards and employee motivation has a significant impact on their performance. High levels of motivation tend to be positively related to achieving work goals and better productivity and work discipline has a direct impact on employee performance. Disciplined employees tend to maintain order and efficiency in the work process, which ultimately contributes to achieving the Company's goals

Abstract

The most important factor that influences a manufacturing company's goals is the smoothness of the production process. The smoothness of the production process is influenced by several factors, one of which is procurement and inventory control of raw materials that will be processed in the production process. Therefore, we need a method that can be used to control raw material supplies. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method because this research relates to a certain period of time by collecting data and information through interviews, observations and documentation related to the company and adjusted to the research objectives. From the results of the research, the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) and POQ (production order quantity model) methods both have their own effectiveness in inventory control to be applied to companies because purchases based on the EOQ and POQ methods are much more economical than initial factory purchases of Rp. 19,080,000, the EOQ method is IDR 18,809,360 so it can really save inventory costs, especially if the factory uses the POQ method, the company will save even more with inventory costs being IDR 12,858,800 if the company uses this method.

Abstract

Currently, MD Drafika faces challenges due to a lack of proper inventory management, such as safety stock regulations and reorder schedules. This has led to inventory levels that often fail to meet customer demand. The objective of this research is to optimize inventory costs at MD Drafika to enhance cost efficiency. This study employs a descriptive quantitative method, utilizing data collected through observation and interviews to explain the relevant aspects of the research object. The results of the research reveal an optimal order quantity and a reduction in inventory costs. Inventory optimization was achieved by adjusting safety stock levels and reorder points. The calculations for 2023 showed an optimal order quantity of 3,349 pieces, with four purchasing cycles within the period. The safety stock was determined to be 945 pieces, and the reorder point was 992 pieces. The cost difference between the EOQ method and the company’s current approach amounted to IDR 1,179,928.

Abstract

Meningkatnya persaingan bisnis menuntut inovasi dan efisiensi dalam produksi. Salah satu inovasi tersebut adalah produksi bata kaca di Bank Sampah Sabilulungan, Kabupaten Bandung, yang memanfaatkan limbah kaca sebagai bahan baku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kerusakan bata beling, mengidentifikasi faktor penyebab kecacatan, serta memberikan rekomendasi peningkatan kualitas menggunakan metode Statistical Quality Control (SQC). Pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan menganalisis data produksi dan cacat yang dikumpulkan selama 22 hari kerja pada Oktober 2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 9.142 unit yang diproduksi, 1,9% mengalami cacat, dengan kategori cacat utama berupa retak (47,73%) dan permukaan tidak rata (32,95%). Analisis p-chart mengungkapkan bahwa proses produksi belum sepenuhnya stabil, dengan beberapa hari menunjukkan tingkat cacat di luar batas kendali. Analisis fishbone mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor utama yang berkontribusi terhadap cacat produk, termasuk komposisi material yang tidak tepat, proses pengeringan yang kurang optimal, kesalahan manusia, presisi mesin yang rendah, serta kondisi lingkungan yang kurang mendukung. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, perbaikan yang direkomendasikan meliputi standarisasi komposisi material, optimalisasi suhu dan durasi pengeringan, peningkatan keterampilan pekerja melalui pelatihan, serta perawatan mesin secara rutin. Implementasi perbaikan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi produksi, mengurangi tingkat cacat, dan mendukung konsep ekonomi sirkular melalui pemanfaatan limbah kaca secara optimal.

Abstract

Barokah Home Industry merupakan industri rumahan di Pangalengan, Kabupaten Bandung, yang memproduksi berbagai olahan berbasis susu. Dalam operasionalnya, usaha ini menghadapi berbagai risiko, seperti keterbatasan bahan baku, kendala distribusi, penyimpanan, serta hambatan perizinan yang berpotensi menghambat keberlangsungan bisnis. Untuk itu, penerapan Enterprise risk management ERM menjadi strategi penting dalam mengelola risiko secara sistematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi ERM dalam mengelola risiko operasional di Barokah Home Industry. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner kepada pemilik usaha serta karyawan. Analisis dilakukan berdasarkan tahapan ERM, yaitu identifikasi, penilaian, dan mitigasi risiko. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ERM berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan risiko, terutama dalam aspek produksi, distribusi, dan kepatuhan regulasi. Namun, masih diperlukan penguatan sistem pengawasan rantai pasok, optimalisasi kapasitas produksi, serta perbaikan prosedur distribusi. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya penerapan ERM yang lebih sistematis bagi usaha kecil dan menengah (UKM) guna meningkatkan daya saing dan keberlanjutan bisnis dalam lingkungan yang semakin kompetitif. Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada penerapan metode seven tools di konveksi sangkuriang Kota Bandung, yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor penyebab kecacatan dalam produksi jersey serta memberikan usulan perbaikan. Seven tools merupakan alat bantu yang digunakan untuk menganalisis permasalahan kualitas ini, yang terdiri dari 7 tools yaitu Check sheet, Histogram, Pareto chart, Control chart, Scatter diagram, Flowchart, Fishbone diagram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 3 jenis cacat dari hasil produksi yaitu cacat bahan kotor dengan presentase 71% (386 produk), cacat sablon 17 % (92 produk), dan cacat bordir 12%(68 produk) dengan total produksi selama satu periode sebanyak 10.372 produk jersey dengan cacat yang mencapai 14,57%. Cacat ini terjadi fakor manusia, mesin, bahan baku, metode kerja dan lingkungan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis terdapat beberapa usulan perbaikan yaitu Memberikan pelatihan terhadap pekerja, membuatkan SOP mengenai kebersihan dan keselamatan kerja, Memperhatikan kualitas bahan baku yang digunakan, Melakukan pengecekan bahan baku dari pemasok, melakukan pengecekan mesin secara berkala, memperhatikan suhu ruangan dan yang terakhir yaitu melakukan pencatatan dari setiap produksi. Sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas produk dan kepuasan pelanggan.

Abstract

This study aims to compare two methods of raw material inventory management, namely Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Periodic Order Quantity (POQ), in improving efficiency and reducing operational costs at Konveksi Arey Hijab. The main problem faced by this company is the irregularity in raw material inventory management, which causes wasteful costs, especially ordering costs and storage costs. Based on raw material purchase data in 2024, which recorded a total purchase of 26,203 kg with a total cost of IDR 1,834,573,300, this study uses a descriptive quantitative approach to compare the two methods. The results of the study show that the EOQ method produces lower inventory costs, namely IDR 16,568,074, compared to the POQ method. The application of the EOQ method can reduce the frequency of excessive ordering, while the POQ method is more effective for ordering periods that are adjusted to seasonal demand. This study recommends that Konveksi Arey Hijab adopt the EOQ method to optimize raw material inventory management, reduce wasteful costs, and improve the company's operational efficiency.

Abstract

The high number of defects in convection products is one of the main problems that have an impact on reducing quality and consumer confidence. The purpose of this research is to identify the dominant types of defects, trace the main causes, and design improvement proposals based on Seven Tools as a quality control method. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive approach by collecting defective product data from January to December 2024. The data was analyzed using Check Sheet, Histogram, Pareto Diagram, Fishbone Diagram, Scatter Diagram, Control Chart, and Flowchart tools to trace the patterns, causes, and stability of the production process. The results show that the most common types of defects are loose buttons and broken threads, which are influenced by human factors, machines, work methods, and materials. After the implementation of improvement proposals, such as labor training, the use of semi-automatic machines, and the arrangement of the work environment, the product defect rate has decreased significantly. Thus, Seven tools proved effective in analyzing quality problems and became a solution to improve the quality of convection production.

Abstract

Inventory management is a crucial aspect in the operations of the manufacturing industry, including in fried tofu factories such as the Rizqy Putra Fried Tofu Factory. The main raw material, namely soybeans, must be managed efficiently to ensure smooth production and minimize the costs incurred. This research aims to determine the inventory control of soybean raw materials applied by Rizqy Putra Fried Tofu Factory, the total inventory cost, and the optimal quantity of soybean raw material orders. This research is quantitative research with a comparative descriptive analysis. The data processed are the inventory purchase and usage reports of soybean raw materials at Rizqy Putra Fried Tofu Factory in 2023. The data analysis method used in this research includes two approaches: the tabular approach and the formula approach with the calculation technique of Economic Order Quantity (EOQ). Based on the results of the research, the inventory control method applied by Rizqy Putra Fried Tofu Factory is the traditional or conventional method, where the total inventory cost of soybean raw materials is Rp. 18,720,000 with details of storage costs amounting to Rp. 18,000,000 and ordering costs of Rp. 720,000 per year, and an ordering frequency of 48 times with an average order quantity of 5,875 kg. Meanwhile, according to the calculation of the formula approach EOQ, the optimal order quantity is 2,880 kg, with an ordering frequency of 24 times and the total inventory cost incurred is Rp. 734,387. The conclusion of this research indicates that based on the calculation of the EOQ formula approach, the total inventory cost of soybean raw materials is more optimal compared to the conventional method applied by Rizqy Putra Fried Tofu Factory.
