Abstract

Nike fish (duwo, family Gobiidae) is unique because of its periodic appearance so it is eagerly awaited and consumed in large quantities. Based on the family similarities between Nike and Anchovy, it can be estimated that the purine in Nike is quite high (purine in Anchovy is 411 mg/100g). Consuming large amounts of Nike, especially in groups recommended for a low-purine diet (100-150 mg purine/day), can impact high uric acid levels in the blood and lead to the emergence of Gout Arthritis. This research aimed to determine the effect of consuming Nike on uric acid levels of University Bina Mandiri (UBMG) employees. This research is the quantitative experimental type of research, which was carried out to determine the effect of consuming Nike fish on uric acid levels before and after. Data was collected from 31 employees through interviews and measuring uric acid levels before and after giving Nike. The study's results found an increase in uric acid levels before and after the intervention of 5.7 mg/dl and 6.2 mg/dl. Statistical analysis of the ANOVA test obtained a P value or significance before treatment of 0.003, and after treatment of 0.002 or a probability value of 0.05; the research conclusion is that giving Nike had a significant effect on the uric acid levels of employees at UBMG.Keywords: Consuming; Nike fish; Uric acid level.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the comparison of the results of acid-resistant bacilli examination in sputum suspected of pulmonary tuberculosis in the two examination methods used to detect Mycobacterium tuberculosis, namely the Ziehl Neelsen method by staining sputum and the GeneXpert method by automatically using the GeneXpert tool on sputum suspected of pulmonary tuberculosis. The method in this study is quantitative with primary data type and sampling technique using purposive sampling with a total of 20 samples. The results showed that both examination methods, namely ziehl neelsen and geneXpert, obtained a significance value (sig.) (2-Tailed) of 0.317 which is more than the value of a (a = 0.05), or 0.317> 0.05 based on the results of statistical analysis, then H₂ is accepted and Ho is rejected.

Abstract

Hemostasis is the body’s mechanism to stop bleeding during an injury. The recalcification period examination is a specific hematological examination of blood clotting disorders to look for deficiency of clotting factors from the intrinsic pathway (Factors V, VIII, IX, X, XI, and XII), prothrombin and fibrinogen. According to the standard operating procedure (SOP), the examination of the recalcification period of the citrate blood centrifuge is 20 minutes at a speed of 3000 rpm. Based on the facts in the field, samples were taken simultaneously, and several different examinations were carried out so that when the centrifuge was carried out, it was not by the SOP. So that there can be an error in the production of the examined citrate plasma. The study aimed to determine the effect of centrifuge time variation on the value of the recalcification period. The research method uses a quantitative approach, experimental research, and a cross-sectional research design. The sampling technique is Accidental Sampling, using nine samples from 9 patients with 3 treatments. The results of the data normality test with the Shapiro-Wilk test from the test results carried out can be seen in 3 data groups; from the data obtained, there is one abnormal treatment. So, the Kruskal-Wallis Test was continued, and the Kruskal-Wallis test was non-parametric. The conclusion obtained from the study is that there is an influence on the recalcification period.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of patients’ knowledge and family support on the dietary compliance of DM patients in Dr. M.M Dunda Limboto Regional Public Hospital. The method of the research used was quantitative research. The sampling technique used was an accidental sampling system with total sample of 66 respondents, then analyzed using Chi Square statistical test. The results of the research showed that there was no significant relationship (0,993>0,05) between the patients’ level of knowledge and dietary compliance of DM patients, so Ha1 hypothesis was rejected and H01 hypothesis was accepted, and there was a significant relationship (0,043<0,05) between family support with the dietary compliance of DM patients, then H02 hypothesis was rejected and Ha2 hypothesis was accepted, with the conclusion that the research results showed that there was no relationship between the patients’ level of knowledge on the dietary compliance of DM patients and there was a relationship between family support and dietary compliance of DM patients in Dr. M.M Dunda Limboto Regional Public Hospital.
