Abstract

The problem of this research lies in the recruitment process carried out by the West Java Province NasDem Party for female legislative candidate candidates in the 2024 General Election which tends to be closed and only provides opportunities to women with certain backgrounds. The aim of this research is to find out about the recruitment process for female legislative candidates by the West Java NasDem Party in the 2024 Legislative Election and what factors influence it. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques that include observation and literature study. The data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that; that; 1) In the process of recruiting female legislative candidate candidates for the 2024 elections, the West Java Province NasDem Party tends to be exclusive and closed in terms of deciding which female legislative candidate candidates will run. Data shows that the NasDem Party's female legislative candidates who are contesting in the XI electoral district in West Java are mostly dominated by businessmen, and are followed by party administrators. 2) There are several factors that influence the recruitment of female legislative candidate candidates by the West Java NasDem Party which include; Political parties are still neglectful in making decisions regarding women's aspirations, parties do not have a program to empower women cadres, patriarchal stigma makes support from the family or from the community still weak, limited access to capital to support women's activities in the political environment, and the inability to balance Maximum time for political activities in parliament.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compare the institutionalization of the Golkar Party during the leadership era of Aburizal Bakrie and Airlangga Hartarto. This study uses a qualitative approach with the data collection technique, namely the literature study. The results of this study indicate that; (1) Aburizal Bakrie's leadership was unsuccessful in increasing support at the grassroots level, as evidenced by a significant decline in votes in the 2014 Election. On the other hand, under Airlangga Hartarto's leadership, the Golkar Party managed to record a significant increase in votes in the 2024 Election, after the decline in 2019. (2) During Aburizal Bakrie's leadership, the Golkar Party was freer from external intervention, especially because of its non-involvement in the winning coalition for elections. Meanwhile, during Airlangga Hartarto's leadership, the intervention of power was increasingly is evident, especially in decision-making

Abstract

Entering the campaign period on January 21, each pair of candidates used various unique campaign models which were considered effective in attracting the hearts of the Indonesian people. Since the start, the public has been excited about Gemoy, which is the trending campaign model of candidate pair number 02 Prabowo-Gibran, while pair 01 Anies-Muhaimin has also attracted attention with the latest campaign model introduced by Desak Anies. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this research include literature study and field study. The research results show that there are significant similarities and differences between the Desak Anies and Gemoy campaign models. The similarity between the two lies in the target of the campaign model used, namely the young generation in the age range of 17-40 years with a percentage of 53% of the number of voters in Indonesia. On the other hand, the fundamental difference between the two lies in the ideas put forward in Desak Anies and Gimik which are put forward through the Gemoy campaign model. Specifically, the differences between these two campaign models can be seen using eight comparative variables referring to Nowak and Warneryd's Campaign Model theory which includes; Intended effect, Competing communication, Communication object, Target population & receiving group, Channel, The message, The communicator/sender, and The obtained effect. Despite this, the results in the field show that the majority of people tend to be interested in the Gemoy campaign model compared to the Desak Anies campaign model which tends to be intellectual, characterized by a debate of ideas.
