Abstract

This study evaluates the crisis in the DIY tourism industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with a focus on the crisis management and communication strategies adopted by the DIY Tourism Office. Through SWOT analysis, the research identifies strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats influencing the adjustment and recovery of DIY tourism. The findings underscore the need for enhancing human resources competence, integrated marketing, and cross-sector collaboration. The study aims to provide insights for the DIY Tourism Office and other stakeholders in crisis management and strengthening the DIY tourism industry.

Abstract

Community participation is an important aspect in supporting the development of a tourist destination. Community participation can create sustainable tourism development, improve environmental sustainability, local economic growth, and community welfare. This research aims to understand the role of the community in efforts to develop tourist destinations in Curug Leuwi Hejo. This research uses qualitative methods, with descriptive qualitative analysis and SWOC analysis. Data collection was carried out by direct observation and interviews with managers and local communities. The results showed that community participation in the development of Curug Leuwi Hejo tourism is carried out through various forms of participation such as open meetings, environmental maintenance, training, responsibility, and local businesses. Community empowerment through awareness raising, job opening, and local craft development are also the main objectives in the concept of community-based tourism. Cultural preservation, such as through the maintenance of cultural heritage and the building of local cultural identity, is also an important aspect in the development of such tourist destinations. However, there are weaknesses and challenges that need to be addressed, such as limited community participation, limited nearby economic opportunities, lack of understanding of environmental impacts, lack of integration of local wisdom, and lack of government support for local initiatives. Appropriate strategies to take advantage of opportunities and overcome challenges, such as increasing community awareness, expanding ecotourism programs, strengthening the promotion of local wisdom and culture, strengthening partnerships with the government, and optimizing digital marketing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran cita rasa dan penyajian Soto Betawi sebagai faktor penting dalam meningkatkan minat wisata kuliner di Jakarta. Kuliner tradisional, seperti Soto Betawi, tidak hanya menawarkan kenikmatan rasa tetapi juga merepresentasikan identitas budaya Betawi, yang kaya akan nilai sejarah dan tradisi. Soto Betawi memiliki cita rasa khas dengan kuah kental dari santan atau susu, serta campuran rempah-rempah lokal yang memberikan aroma dan rasa unik. Hidangan ini disajikan dengan pelengkap seperti emping dan jeruk limau, yang semakin memperkaya kelezatannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif untuk menggali faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi daya tarik Soto Betawi, meliputi wawancara dengan pelaku industri kuliner dan wisatawan serta observasi di lokasi penjualan kuliner Betawi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi cita rasa autentik dan estetika penyajian berperan penting dalam menarik minat wisatawan lokal maupun mancanegara. Selain itu, inovasi dalam penyajian dan promosi melalui media sosial dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan visibilitas Soto Betawi. Dengan strategi promosi yang tepat, Soto Betawi diharapkan dapat berkompetisi dengan kuliner internasional di era globalisasi. Abstract

Tourism has an important role in the Indonesian economy, including in Bogor which has attractive natural tourism potential. One of the natural tourist destinations in Bogor is Curug Leuwi Hejo in Cibadak Village, Sukamakmur District, Bogor Regency. This study aims to examine the experience of tourists visiting Curug Leuwi Hejo and analyze the 5A strategy carried out by the manager to improve the tourist experience. The research method used is qualitative with observation techniques and interviews with tourists. The approach in this research is descriptive qualitative and SWOC analysis. The results showed that Curug Leuwi Hejo has the potential for natural attractions that attract tourists. In addition, the manager has also provided adequate accommodation for tourists. However, there are limitations in infrastructure development and destination promotion. Therefore, a more optimal development strategy is needed to improve the tourist experience in Curug Leuwi Hejo. In conclusion, this study provides guidance for destination managers, government, and local communities in optimizing the 5A strategy for Curug Leuwi Hejo tourism development. Further research can be carried out with different methods and instruments to obtain more accurate results.
