Abstract

The increasing age of humans leads to reduced strength and muscle mass. Increasing age can also cause a decrease in the function of other organs, such as the urinary tract so that some elderly people have difficulty moving places to urinate and need to use diapers. The types of urinary catheters on the market are intermittent catheters, suprapubic catheters, and external catheters. The purpose of this study was to design a special external catheter for women with the name Ecable. Ecable is designed according to the needs of users both the elderly themselves and people who care for the elderly. The method used in this design is design thinking. ecable consists of five major components: a urine bag, an alarm, a hose, special underwear, and a urine funnel. The advantages offered by this product are easy to install and remove, comfortable to use, minimize unpleasant odors, there is a full urine bag detection alarm, minimize the cause of irritation, and are cost-effective because they can be used repeatedly.  This catheter is expected to help the elderly and caregivers to overcome existing needs.

Abstract

Students struggle to understand their teacher due to difficulties in memorizing vocabulary and comprehending word definitions. This research focuses on two key questions: (1) How do seventh-grade students at MtsN 1 Bengkalis respond to using Quizlet as a learning tool? and (2) How does Quizlet help improve their vocabulary knowledge? The study aims to enhance vocabulary learning for seventh graders and assess their reactions to using Quizlet at MtsN 1 Bengkalis, Riau, during the 2022/2023 academic year. The research method used is classroom action research. The findings show a significant improvement in students' vocabulary knowledge across three tests. The average score in test 1 was 60.6, in test 2 it rose to 68.75, and in test 3 it further increased to 80.0. In conclusion, Quizlet has proven to be an effective tool for improving vocabulary learning in students

Abstract

Dalam aktivitas distribusi, terutama bagi UMKM seperti Nara Katering, penentuan rute merupakan aspek krusial yang memengaruhi biaya operasional dan kepuasan pelanggan. Penelitian ini mengusulkan pendekatan hybrid heuristic yang terdiri dari empat tahapan: pengklasteran, pengurutan rute, perbaikan rute, dan penentuan biaya operasional kendaraan. Tahap pengklasteran menggunakan algoritma sweep, sedangkan pengurutan rute menggunakan nearest insertion heuristic, dan perbaikan rute menggunakan algoritma 2-opt dengan dukungan MATLAB. Biaya operasional kendaraan dihitung berdasarkan standar Departemen Pekerjaan Umum 2005. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam efisiensi rute distribusi, dengan jarak tempuh yang lebih pendek sebesar 12,20% dibandingkan dengan rute aktual. Meskipun pengurutan rute berdasarkan algoritma nearest insertion heuristic sedikit lebih panjang dibandingkan dengan rute aktual, total biaya operasional kendaraan menunjukkan penghematan yang signifikan. Dua model sistem pengupahan dipertimbangkan: sistem pengupahan per titik dan sistem pengupahan dengan Upah Minimum Regional (UMR) per bulan. Sistem pengupahan per titik direkomendasikan karena memberikan keuntungan yang lebih besar bagi UMKM Nara Katering, dengan biaya operasional kendaraan sebesar Rp204.667,01/hari dan keuntungan Rp85.322,99/hari. Sementara itu, sistem pengupahan berdasarkan UMR per bulan menghasilkan total biaya operasional kendaraan sebesar Rp251.446,01/hari dengan keuntungan Rp38.553,99/hari. Rekomendasi ini didasarkan pada keuntungan yang lebih besar yang dapat diperoleh dengan sistem pengupahan per titik.
