Abstract

Abstract. This research describes in depth the efforts of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in instilling religious values as a preventive effort against juvenile delinquency at SMAN 9 Bandung. This research is a field research with a qualitative approach. Data analysis involves three stages, namely data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that (1) at SMAN 9 Bandung there were two types of juvenile delinquency which included mild to moderate forms. (2) The efforts of PAI teachers in preventing juvenile delinquency include: a) prevention in the classroom, b) out-of-class programs and activities, and c) collaboration between all school parties, PAI teachers, and BK teachers. (3) Supporting factors in this effort include a supportive school program and support from parents and religious leaders, while inhibiting factors include students' identity crisis and lack of attention to students. Abstrak. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan secara mendalam upaya guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai religius sebagai upaya preventif terhadap kenakalan remaja di SMAN 9 Bandung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Analisis data melibatkan tiga tahap, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) di SMAN 9 Bandung terdapat dua jenis kenakalan remaja yang termasuk ke dalam bentuk ringan hingga sedang. (2) Upaya guru PAI dalam mencegah kenakalan remaja mencakup: a) pencegahan di dalam kelas, b) program dan kegiatan luar kelas, dan c) kolaborasi antara seluruh pihak sekolah, guru PAI, dan guru BK. (3) Faktor pendukung dalam upaya ini antara lain program sekolah yang mendukung serta dukungan dari orang tua dan tokoh agama, sementara faktor penghambat meliputi krisis identitas siswa dan kurangnya perhatian terhadap siswa.
