Methods: this study was conducted for 3 days after birth. This type of research is Pre Experimental and uses a one group pretest-posttest research design. The population is post partum mothers who experience back pain, totaling 15 post partum mothers. This study uses a total sampling technique. Results: Collecting data through questionnaires and observation. The results of data analysis with the Wilcoxon test result p = 001 which means that there is an effect of giving effleurage massage using lemongrass essential oil (cymbopogon) to reduce back pain in postpartum mothers. Conclusion: effleurage massage combined with lemongrass essential oil can be applied to postpartum mothers who experience back pain, resulting in a decrease in back pain in postpartum mothers.

Abstract

Sleep disorders are a condition that can cause problems with a person's sleep patterns. Like waking up every night, and having trouble sleeping. So, researchers are looking for an alternative solution for mothers who experience this by giving herbal drinks such as chamomile tea. Chamomile tea contains flavonoid compounds, namely apigenin, which binds to benzodiazepine receptors in the brain, providing a calming feeling. The type used in this research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design to determine the pretest posttest scores. For sampling, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality (PSQI) questionnaire was used to determine the sleep quality score of respondents. Based on the results of research conducted by researchers on 20 respondents, before being given chamomile tea, 14 people were in the moderate category, 6 people were in the bad category, and after being given chamomile tea there were 14 people in the good category, and 6 people were in the moderate category. Researchers can conclude that there was an improvement after it was given. The results of the normality test that the researcher carried out obtained a p value of 0.00 (<0.05). Where the data was not normally distributed, therefore the researcher switched to the Wilcoxon Test. It can be interpreted that in this study if the p value is 0.00 then Ha is accepted while H0 is rejected or there is an influence of giving chamomile tea.

Abstract

Abstract Anemia in pregnant women is a common health problem that can negatively impact the mother and fetal development. Based on the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI), it was recorded that 27.7% of pregnant women in Indonesia suffer from anemia. This study aims to determine the effect of consuming red spinach juice mixed with honey on increasing hemoglobin (Hb) levels in anemic pregnant women at the Sumiariani Clinic. Primary data were collected through observation sheets before and after the intervention. Using a purposive sampling technique, 16 respondents were selected because they were identified as having anemia. This study used a pretest and posttest design without a comparison group. For one week, respondents were asked to consume a mixture of red spinach juice and honey twice daily, morning and evening. Hb levels were measured using a digital GCHb device. The results showed a statistically significant increase in hemoglobin levels, from an average of 9.63 g/dL to 11.19 g/dL after the intervention, with a p-value <0.05. This indicates that the null hypothesis is rejected and consumption of the combination has a significant effect on increasing Hb. Thus, red spinach juice and honey can be a safe natural alternative treatment for anemia in pregnant women, as long as it is combined with the consumption of nutritious foods rich in iron.
