Abstract

Salah satu upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika adalah dengan memahami kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Hal tersebut dapat dioptimalkan apabila guru mengetahui pula jenis gaya belajar yang dimiliki oleh siswa. Cara lain adalah dengan menerapkan pembelajaran yang sesuai, diantaranya adalah model pembelajaran matematika realistik. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dilakukan penelitian untuk menganalisis kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang ditinjau dari gaya belajar melalui pembelajaran matematika realistik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan jumlah subjek 44 siswa XI MIA 2 MAS SIMBANGKULON. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket, tes, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persentase kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang paling dominan pada gaya belajar visual, auditorial, read/write dan kinestetik adalah pada indikator ketiga, yaitu mengungkapkan ide-ide matematis dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan sehari-hari. Dilain pihak, penyebab kesulitan siswa dalam berkomunikasi matematis adalah bervariasi, tetapi yang paling dominan untuk setiap kelompok gaya belajar adalah sama, yaitu kekurangtelitian. One of the efforts to improve mathematics learning outcomes is to understand students' mathematical communication skills. This can be optimized if teachers also know the types of learning styles that students have. Another way is to apply appropriate learning, including the realistic mathematics learning model. Based on this, a study was conducted to analyze students' mathematical communication skills in terms of learning styles through realistic mathematics learning. This type of research is qualitative research with the number of subjects 44 students XI MIA 2 MAS SIMBANGKULON. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The results showed that the most dominant percentage of mathematical communication skills in visual, auditorial, read/write and kinesthetic learning styles was in the third indicator, namely expressing mathematical ideas in solving everyday problems. On the other hand, the causes of students' difficulties in communicating mathematically are varied, but the most dominant for each learning style group is the same, namely lack of rigor.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika dianggap membosankan dan sulit dipahami karena materi cenderung bersifat abstrak dan metode pengajaran kurang inovatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan alat peraga berupa permainan ular tangga bertema Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar yang dirancang untuk memfasilitasi model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) yang valid, efektif dan praktis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Reseach and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, angket, dan tes. Tahap development dilakukan penilaian produk melalui penyebaran angket kepada validator. Hasil validasi menunjukan bahwa produk berkriteria sangat valid dan layak digunakan, dengan skor rata-rata untuk aspek materi 4,538 dan aspek media 4,583. Tahap implementation dilakukan penerapan produk serta analisis efektifitas produk. Hasil analisis efektivitas produk dilihat dari pre-test dan post-test. Ditunjukan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan dengan skor rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,744 termasuk kategori tinggi. Tahap evaluation dilakukan penyebaran angket respon kepada siswa untuk mengetahui tingkat kepraktisan produk. Hasil uji kepraktisan menunjukan skor 4,230 dengan kriteria sangat baik.

Abstract

Students’ low level of mathematical conceptual understanding requires more effective learning strategies. Research integrating the ARIAS learning model with interactive digital media such as QuizWhizzer is still limited. This study examined the effects of the ARIAS learning model assisted by QuizWhizzer, the ARIAS model alone, and Conventional learning on high school students’ mathematical conceptual understanding. A quantitative approach with a post-test only control group design was employed, involving three Grade XI classes at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekajangan. The instrument was an essay test developed from indicators of mathematical conceptual understanding, and data were analyzed using Scheffe’s post hoc test. The findings showed that both the ARIAS model and the ARIAS model assisted by QuizWhizzer significantly improved students’ conceptual understanding compared to Conventional learning. However, no significant difference was found between the ARIAS model with and without QuizWhizzer. These results indicate that QuizWhizzer did not substantially enhance the effectiveness of the ARIAS model. The study highlights the importance of further investigation into the integration of digital media within specific learning models to maximize their potential impact on mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' numeracy literacy skills in solving AKM questions in terms of learning style and self-esteem. Apart from that, to find out the factors that cause students' difficulties in solving numeracy literacy skills questions when viewed from varying learning styles and self-esteem. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection methods were carried out using tests, questionnaires and interviews. The test is used to measure students' numeracy literacy skills which consists of 4 domains and each domain consists of 3 questions, so there are 12 questions. The questionnaire is used to determine students' learning styles according to David Kolb and students' self-esteem categories. Interviews is used to determine factors causing students' difficulties in solving numeracy literacy skills questions. The data analysis technique uses concepts according to Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The research results showed that students' numeracy literacy skills in solving AKM questions are in the quite good category. The factors that cause students' difficulties in solving numeracy literacy skills questions are that students are not careful enough, don't want to try, don't understand the questions, can't find a way to solve them, can't solve problems, and make mistakes when doing calculations.
