Abstract

People often think that only mothers can experience postpartum depression. However, in fact, many fathers experience postpartum depression and it is not handled well because fathers are often silent and prioritize the welfare of the family. This results in suppressed emotions and the risk of violent behavior in children. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of paternal postpartum depression and the risk of violent behavior in children in the Pulo Lor Public Health Center working area, Jombang Regency. This research is a correlational analytical research using the cross sectional method. The total sampling technique was used in this research using 150 respondents with the characteristics of a father aged 15 - 30 years who had just had their first child or second child within a year of the couple's postpartum period. Data analysis in this study used the Spearman's rho statistical test, resulting in r = 0.010. The results of this study show that there is a relationship between the level of paternal postpartum depression and the risk of violent behavior in children in the work area of the Jombang district health center.

Abstract

Introduction: Time management among students during exams is in a concerning state, with many overwhelmed by scheduling study plans, leading to severe anxiety that disrupts mental health and academic performance. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Quizizz training in reducing exam anxiety and enhancing time management skills among students. Methods: This study employed a Service Learning approach to train students in managing exam anxiety and improving time management skills through the use of the Quizizz platform. Intensive training and workshops were conducted for 30 students from ITSKes ICME Jombang. Results: The Wilcoxon statistical test revealed that Quizizz training significantly reduced exam anxiety (p = 0.003) and improved time management skills (p = 0.004). Conclusion: The use of Quizizz is effective in supporting students' mental readiness and skills in managing exams.

Abstract

Nursing students often face psychological challenges before graduation, including low self-esteem, which may hinder their readiness to enter the workforce. This community service aimed to improve the self-esteem of eighth-semester nursing students through a structured training program to better prepare them for professional life. The training was conducted at the ITSKES ICME Jombang Hall in February 2025 and involved 82 students selected using total sampling. The one-day session included materials on self-concept reinforcement, motivational techniques, and job interview simulations. Evaluation was carried out using pre- and post-tests based on the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale. The pre-test results showed that 34.1% of respondents had low self-esteem, 52.4% moderate, and 13.5% high. After the training, there was a significant increase: only 3.7% remained in the low category, 40.2% were moderate, and 56.1% had reached a high self-esteem level. The self-esteem enhancement training proved effective in increasing the confidence of nursing students and is recommended as a strategy to strengthen soft skills in preparation for entering the workforce.

Abstract

INTISARI Latar Belakang: Ibu pasca melahirkan seringkali tidak merasa bahagia akan kehadiran sang buah hati, hal tersebut disebabkan adanya perubahan peran yang terjadi dalam hidupnya. Ibu yang tidak mampu beradaptasi dengan berbagai perubahan dapat mengalami tekanan psikologis seperti babyblues. Dampak yang dirasakan akibat adanya babyblues dapat dirasakan oleh ibu, suami, keluarga dan bahkan orang – orang disekitar ibu yang mengalami babyblues. Babyblues masuk dalam kategori gangguan mental ringan yang sering diabaikan, tidak adanya dukungan dari keluarga menjadikan babyblues rentan meningkat menjadi gejala yang lebih serius. Metode: Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan memberikan penyuluhan berupa edukasi pemahaman pentingnya dukungan keluarga untuk ibu dalam mengatasi babyblues. Target dalam penyuluhan ini adalah keluarga dari ibu yang mengalami babyblues sperti suami, orang tua, mertua dan saudara sejumlah 30 responden. Survey tentang indikasi adanya gejala babyblues diberikan diawal kegiatan menggunakan kuesioner EPDS. Sesi diskusi dan evaluasi diberikan untuk menilai sejauh mana responden memahami materi yang telah diberikan selama kegiatan berlangsung. Hasil: Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan dari responden setelah materi diberikan, dibuktikan dengan keaktifan responden dalam bertanya saat sesi diskusi berlangsung dan menjawab pertanyaan dengan benar yang diberikan secara acak saat sesi evaluasi dilakukan. Kesimpulan: Dukungan keluarga sangat penting bagi ibu yang mengalami babyblues. Semakin baik dukungan keluarga yang diberikan, semakin baik ibu pasca melahirkan mampu beradaptasi dengan perubahan yang terjadi pasca melahirkan. Kata Kunci: babyblues, dukungan keluarga, pasca melahirkan ABSTRACT Background : Postpartum mothers often do not feel happy about the presence of their baby, this is due to changes in roles that occur in their lives. Mothers who are unable to adapt to various changes can experience psychological stress such as baby blues. The impact felt due to babyblues can be felt by the mother, husband, family and even people around the mother who experiences babyblues. Babyblues is included in the category of mild mental disorders that are often ignored. The absence of support from the family makes babyblues susceptible to escalating into more serious symptoms. Method:This community service is carried out by providing outreach in the form of education understanding the importance of family support for mothers in overcoming baby blues. The targets for this counseling were the families of mothers who experienced baby blues, such as husbands, parents, in-laws and relatives, a total of 30 respondents. A survey regarding indications of baby blues symptoms was given at the beginning of the activity using the EPDS questionnaire. Discussion and evaluation sessions were provided to assess the extent to which respondents understood the material provided during the activity. Results:There was a significant increase in respondents' knowledge after the material was provided, as evidenced by the respondents' activeness in asking questions during the discussion session and answering questions correctly which were given randomly during the evaluation session. Conclusion:Family support is very important for mothers experiencing babyblues. The better the family support provided, the better the postpartum mother will be able to adapt to the changes that occur after giving birth. Keywords: babyblues, family support, postpartum

Abstract

Pendahuluan : Remaja seringkali menghadapi tekanan akademik yang tinggi di sekolah, sementara lingkungan keluarga juga dapat memainkan peran penting dalam kesejahteraan mental mereka. Namun, hubungan antara fungsi keluarga, kelelahan akademik, dan ideasi bunuh diri pada remaja belum sepenuhnya dipahami. Tujuan Penelitian : Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bagaimana fungsi keluarga dan kelelahan akademik mempengaruhi risiko ideasi bunuh diri pada remaja. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan desain korelasional dengan metode cross sectional, melibatkan 78 siswa kelas 12 dari SMA Patriot Kecamatan Peterongan, Kabupaten Jombang, Jawa Timur. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner online dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Korelasi Pearson dan Regresi Berganda. Hasil Penelitian : Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara fungsi keluarga yang baik dan tingkat kelelahan akademik yang rendah dengan risiko ideasi bunuh diri yang lebih rendah pada remaja. Kesimpulan : Upaya untuk meningkatkan fungsi keluarga dan mengurangi kelelahan akademik dapat berperan dalam mengurangi risiko ideasi bunuh diri pada remaja. Kata Kunci: Academic Burnout; Family Functioning; Remaja; Suicide Ideation Introduction: Adolescents often face high academic pressure in school, while the family environment can also play a crucial role in their mental well-being. However, the relationship between family functioning, academic burnout, and suicide ideation among adolescents remains not fully understood. Research Objective: The aim of this study is to understand how family functioning and academic burnout influence the risk of suicide ideation among adolescents. Method: This study employed a correlational design with a cross-sectional method, involving 78 twelfth-grade students from SMA Patriot in the Peterongan District, Jombang Regency, East Java. Data were collected using an online questionnaire and analyzed using Pearson Correlation and Multiple Regression tests. Results: The findings reveal a significant relationship between good family functioning and low levels of academic burnout with a lower risk of suicide ideation among adolescents. Conclusion: Efforts to enhance family functioning and alleviate academic burnout may play a crucial role in reducing the risk of suicide ideation among adolescents. Abstract

Introduction: Exam anxiety is a major issue affecting academic performance among students worldwide, primarily due to the pressure to meet high academic expectations and poor time management. Research Objective: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of digital platforms (Quizizz, Kahoot!, and Socrative) in reducing exam anxiety and improving time management skills among students at ITSKes ICME Jombang. Method: A quantitative design with a pre-post test approach was used, with a randomly selected sample of 98 students from a population of 130. Data were collected through exam anxiety and time management questionnaires, as well as test results, and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Ranks Test and Kruskal-Wallis Test. Research Results: The findings indicate that digital platform-based interventions significantly improved academic performance, with Quizizz proving to be the most effective platform, as well as reducing anxiety levels and enhancing time management skills. Conclusion: Digital platforms are proven effective in enhancing students' academic performance and time management skills, particularly in helping female students manage exam anxiety through flexible and structured self-study features.
