Abstract

Online transportation has appeared quite attached to our ears in recent years. With increasingly advanced digital technology, many new platforms have emerged, such as Gojek, Grab, and others. This paper aims to find out the public's choice of online transportation in Jakarta amidst increasingly severe traffic jams. The method used in this study was carried out quantitatively by distributing questionnaires to 100 correspondents on social media. As a result, the level of importance of all online transport parameters is considered very important, with an average of 4.27. While the performance value obtained is slightly below 4.25, which means it is still considered satisfactory. So, the gap between performance and interest is manageable, only -0.02.

Abstract

Expected to guarantee user comfort and safety, enable efficient traffic operations, and simultaneously attract the minimum possible costs in construction and maintenance. The construction of the Jalan Cisauk-Jaha in Banten Province is one of the projects of the Public Works and Planning Office of Banten Province. This paper aims to redesign a safe horizontal alignment for motorists to pass on the Jalan Cisauk–Jaha using the Bina Marga method at STA 0+000 – 0+350 where there is one bend or horizontal alignment. The method used in planning is the Bina Marga method. The research results of the horizontal alignment and geometric planning for the Cisauk–Jaha Highway STA 0+000 – 0+350 time attract the minimum possible costs in construction and maintenance. The construction of the Jalan Cisauk-Jaha in Banten Province is one of the projects of the Public Works and Planning Office of Banten Province. This paper aims to plan a safe horizontal alignment for motorists to pass on the Jalan Cisauk-Jaha using the Bina Marga method at STA 0+000 - 0+350 where there is one bend or horizontal alignment. The method used in planning is the Bina Marga method. The results can be concluded that the Cisauk–Jaha Highway is a class IIA collector road with a width of 7 meters and design speed (VR) of 80 km/hour, design parameters, and a maximum slope (e) of 8%. From the calculation, the design radius (R) is 210 m, with the intersection angle (°) of 48°, the horizontal curved length (Lc) of 196.43 m, the maximum slope (e) of 8%, and the road terrain class being a flat area.

Abstract

Smooth traffic conditions can improve population mobility services and other supporting resources for economic growth. However, traffic jams often occur in a densely populated city like Batam, which stress road users, improve economic speed, and waste much time. Therefore, it is necessary to check the steering performance. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the Barelang junction roundabout is effective in the traffic situation prevailing in the area. In this study, a traffic survey was conducted on the Barelang Junction Batam road to determine the number of vehicles passing through Barelang Junction. The reference used in this research is the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (IHCM) 1997, where road capacity, traffic density, and saturation level are analyzed. The results obtained from SP Plaza to the road to Muka Kuning have a saturation value of 0.72. The saturation level of the route from Muka Kuning to SP Plaza is 0.57. Based on IHCM 1997, it was determined that the value of the saturation level of a road section should not be more than 0.75, so it can be concluded that the two roads located at the Barelang T-junction are classified as efficient. The results of this study can be used as a benchmark to improve transportation performance.
