Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of parental involvement on the academic achievement of students at SMPN 56 Jakarta. The research method used is quantitative with a survey design. Data were collected through questionnaires given to 150 students in grades VII and VIII and their parents. The variable of parental involvement was measured through several indicators, including support in home study, participation in school activities, and communication between parents and teachers. The academic achievement of students was measured based on the latest semester report card grades. Regression analysis results show that parental involvement has a positive and significant influence on students' academic achievement (β = 0.45, p < 0.05). Parental support in home study and effective communication between parents and teachers are the most dominant factors in improving students' academic achievement. Parental participation in school activities also contributes, although not as much as the other two factors. This study concludes that parental involvement is an essential factor in enhancing students' academic achievement. Therefore, schools and related parties need to encourage and facilitate parental involvement in their children's education process. This effort can be made through programs that strengthen communication and cooperation between schools and families.

Abstract

Currently, the turnover intention rate among millennial employees is high. Toxic leadership is one of the reasons for this high turnover intention rate. Toxic leadership can lead to a depletion of employee resources, encouraging them to leave the workplace. Based on the Conservation of Resources theory, this research aims to determine the role of coping stress as a moderator in the influence of toxic leadership on turnover intention. Participants consisted of 43 employees from PT X. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The instruments used were the toxic leadership scale, the Brief COPE, and the turnover intention scale. The results of the data analysis using the PROCESS MACRO by Hayes model 1 indicate that coping with stress does not moderate the influence of toxic leadership on Turnover Intention. This research is expected to provide information regarding the impact of toxic leadership on turnover intention, especially among millennial workers.

Abstract

Construction projects are inherently complex, and involve multiple stakeholders with diverse interests and goals. The construction industry has explored the use of hybrid dispute resolution methods, such as the combination of arbitration and mediation, known as "med-arb.” However, the effectiveness of arbitration in construction disputes is not challenging. The challenge to be examined is the choice of construction dispute resolution using arbitration, which is still widely used in Indonesian projects. During the 44 years of work, the Indonesian National Arbitration Board handled more than 1000 cases. Regulation reflects the evolving dynamics and challenges faced by the Indonesian legal system and the ongoing efforts to create a more democratic and rights-respecting legal framework

Abstract

This study aims to examine the mediating role of workplace belongingness upon the effect of job crafting and leisure crafting on employee well-being based on Self-determination Theory (SDT). The research employed a cross-sectional survey method using data from Gen Z and Millennial employees (N=121) working in hybrid settings in Indonesia. The analysis was conducted using a Generalised Linear Model (GLM) Mediation approach. The findings revealed that: (1) The direct effect of both job crafting and leisure crafting on employee well-being are not statistically significant, and (2) workplace belongingness fully mediates the effect of job crafting and leisure crafting on employee well-being. These results suggest that job and leisure crafting alone may be insufficient to improve employee well-being unless such efforts foster a strong sense of connection to the organization or company, as well as when employees feel integrated, appreciated, and valued within their work community.
