Abstract

This research focuses on semiotic analysis of music videos which are the pros and cons in society. The music video for JKT 48 is entitled "Stamen and Night Butterflies". The method used in this study is a qualitative method, which includes: ideas, descriptions of meanings, definitions, characteristics, metaphors, symbols, and others. Based on the author's observations and analysis, in the music video there are scenes that are not in accordance with the culture of our country, namely those that lead to LGBT and are inappropriate for viewing by minors. And using the concept of queerbaiting which refers to and implies heterosexual/LGBT relationships because it uses talent that is entirely female. Keywords: music, symbols, video

Abstract

Personal branding is the process of creating and managing an image or reputation to gain the trust of others and make yourself known. Rachel Vennya, an influencer and entrepreneur, uses Instagram as a forum to build a personal brand. The study aims to study how Rachel Vennya's personal branding as an influencer and entrepreneur grows in Instagram media. In terms of personal branding, Rachel Vennya is known as an innovative and creative person. He keeps moving forward in various fields because of his creative talents. Rachel used Instagram as a place to build her personal branding as an influencer and entrepreneur by implementing eight concepts of personalized branding. Rachel used her Instagram account under her username @rachelvennya to post photos and videos related to her work as an influencer and her business activities. He also posted stories about his personal life, family, friends, co-workers, and community members.

Abstract

This study uses a qualitative study with a material accumulative system. Through the documentation method by collecting and viewing uploads from the Instagram account @bar. Image politics is common everyday language in print and electronic media. Indonesian people who follow the trend of the Instagram application display various daily activities via Instagram. The upload from this account started on November 28 2017, only getting 62 likes and 2 comments in 2020. On December 8 2022 this upload had 915 likes and several other uploads had up to 108 thousand viewers and received up to 8,385 thousand likes. This means that the political imagery on this account has received a lot of appreciation from netizens.
