Abstract

The classical and medieval Islamic periods had historians who tried or made efforts to record every important event, one of them was Ibn Khaldun. Ibn Khaldun Ibn Khaldun in his book Muqaddimah describes the problems of social life, one of which is the problem of Islamic economics. This article aims to find out the biography of Ibn Khaldun, the historiography used by Ibn Khaldun in writing history, and Ibn Khaldun’s thoughts regarding Islamic economic theory and its relevance against Indonesian economy. These theories include, trade and markets, taxes, production and distribution, market mechanisms and monopolies, and import-export theory. This study uses library research with a qualitative approach, by using the Book of Muqaddimah as the primary source. Meanwhile, secondary sources are taken from other books and journals. Ibn Khaldun argues that economic theories must coincide with Islamic values. With that, the Islamic economic theory initiated by Ibn Khaldun presents novelty by looking at its relevance against Indonesian economy.

Abstract

Abstract This paper aims to systematically examine zakat for food security and stunting reduction, as discussed in existing literature. This research uses a careful literature review method from searching articles on Google Scholar and well-known journal publishers such as Emerald, Scopus, ProQuest, and JStor to obtain quality references in analyzing the topic. The results show that the zakat instrument positively supports food security and stunting reduction by integrating the findings of this literature review, namely that effective agriculture will produce abundant food production, which is then strengthened through productive zakat to improve the economy and people's purchasing power for decent food. Nutrition-based cash zakat provides special support as a social safety net, and effective zakat management ensures the proper distribution of zakat funds. Keywords: Zakat, Food Security, Stunting Avelliation, SLR Abstrak Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis zakat untuk ketahanan pangan dan pengentasan stunting, sebagaimana dibahas dalam literatur yang ada. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode tinjauan pustaka secara cermat yang diperoleh dari penelusuran artikel di Google Scholar dan penerbit jurnal ternama seperti Emerald, Scopus, ProQuest, dan JStor untuk mendapatkan referensi yang berkualitas dalam menganalisis topik. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa instrumen zakat secara positif mendukung ketahanan pangan dan pengentasan stunting dengan mengintegrasikan temuan tinjauan pustaka ini, yaitu pertanian yang efektif akan menghasilkan produksi pangan yang melimpah, kemudian diperkuat melalui zakat produktif untuk meningkatkan perekonomian dan daya beli masyarakat terhadap pangan yang layak. Zakat tunai berbasis gizi untuk memberikan dukungan khusus sebagai jaring pengaman sosial, dan manajemen zakat yang efektif memastikan distribusi dana zakat yang tepat. Abstract

Waqf institutions have faced several challenges in carrying out their functions and duties, including accountability issues that may hinder the growth and sustainability of waqf institutions. This journal aims to conduct a methodical review of the being literature on strengthening responsibility or accountability mechanisms in waqf institutions. Designed as a systematic study, it reviews articles published on scopus and google scholar from 2014 to 2024. The findings of this journal can provide insights and suggestions for the strengthening of appropriate accountability mechanisms, and it is hoped that waqf institutions can contribute more effectively in fulfilling their social objectives and strengthening the presence of Islam in society. Based on the systematic literature review, the article identifies three main dimensions relating to waqf institutions, namely: processes, institutional framework, and reporting techniques. The literature analysis also highlights the importance of cooperation between internal and external parties in strengthening accountability mechanisms within waqf institutions.
