Abstract

The purpose this research is to determine the effect of the TGT (Teams-Games-Tournament) model assisted by picture drawing media on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in science at SD Negeri Tawangmas 01. This study is quantitative with a pre-experimental design method, specifically a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this research were 28 fifth-grade students from SD Negeri Tawangmas 01 in Semarang. Data obtained were tested using normality tests, N-Gain tests, and paired sample t-tests. Based on the calculations, the average pretest score was 58, and the average posttest score was 95. This is evidenced by the hypothesis test results through the paired sample t-test, where the Sig value was less than 0.05, indicating that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected at a significance level of ? = 0.05, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. This means that the TGT model assisted by picture drawing media is effective in improving the cognitive learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in science. The N-Gain criteria also received a score of > 0.7, indicating that the use of the TGT model with picture drawing media has a high criterion. Based on this research, it is recommended that the TGT model with picture drawing media can be used as a model and medium to help make the learning process enjoyable and to improve the cognitive learning outcomes of students. ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model TGT dengan berbantuan media tarik gambar terhadap hasi belajar peserta didik materi IPAS kelas V SD Negeri Tawangmas 01. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode pre-eksperimen design dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Tawangmas 01 Semarang dengan jumlah 28 peserta didik. Data yang diperoleh diujikan melalui uji normalitas, uji N-Gain, dan uji t paired sampel T-test. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoleh rata-rata pretest 58 dan rata-rata nilai posttest 95. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji hipotesis melalui uji t paired sampel t-test bahwa nilai Sig < 0.05 maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak pada taraf signifikan ? = 0.05 dengan nilai signifikan 0.000 < 0.05 artinya model TGT dengan berbantuan media tarik gambar efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik kelas V materi IPAS. Kriteria N-gain juga mendapat nilai > 0,7 yang menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model TGT dengan berbantuan media tarik gambar memiliki kriteria tinggi. Saran yang dapat disampaikan berdasarkan penelitian ini adalah model TGT dengan berbantuan media tarik gambar dapat dijadikan salah satu model dan media untuk membantu proses pembelajaran agar menyenangkan dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik.
