Abstract

Together with science, humans are carriers of the message of the caliphate on earth, which has an obligation to prosper and develop it. Islam is a comprehensive religion (overall). With knowledge, one's life will become more valuable and colorful. The religion of Islam highly values ​​people who are knowledgeable, because they see the importance of this knowledge. With knowledge a person will do everything that Allah subhanallahuwata'ala commands him and is afraid if he leaves something that He commands, while someone who is not knowledgeable will be swayed by the deception of his lust. The purpose of this paper is to reveal the meaning of the word Ulama as stated in QS. Fathir verse 28 which can be understood that scholars are not only in matters of religion but in other fields of knowledge can also be called scholars. The author conducts a study on the interpretation of the Fi Zhilalil Qur'an through collecting data obtained through qualitative methods, namely library research and using a phenomenological design, which will later produce descriptive data.

Abstract

This research wants to discuss various problems in the world of education, namely that many educators still use conventional media such as lecture or question and answer methods which result in learning being inactive, thus affecting the quality of learning outcomes. This research aims to see how the role of using smartboard media in the learning process can improve students' understanding, especially in Islamic studies. Researchers used observation, interviews and documentation methods. The results of this research show that the presence of smartboards at Prestige Bilingual School in the teaching and learning process in Islamic studies has a positive impact, where smartboards become an attraction to provide a feeling of joy and comfort, thereby encouraging students to learn, which of course can increase understanding and strengthen students' memories of Islamic Religious Lessons. Like humans who are not perfect, this smartboard media also has its drawbacks, namely that the price is relatively expensive, making some school institutions think again about using it, as well as technicians who are still rarely found. The educators here have not received special training to master smartboards so not all educators use smartboard media in the learning process at school and this smartboard requires electricity, if it goes out then it cannot be run. Abstract

General Background: The ability to read the Qur'an correctly is a foundational competence for Muslim students, shaping both spiritual practice and moral development. Specific Background: However, many students, even in urban areas, struggle with tajwid and makhraj due to limited instructional time and varying support at home. Knowledge Gap: Research on the effectiveness of structured tahsin programs in non-Islamic, international-standard schools remains limited, particularly with a level-based approach. Aims: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Tahsin Program at SD Prestige Bilingual School Medan in improving students’ Qur'an reading skills. Results: Utilizing a phenomenological qualitative design, data from interviews, observations, and document analysis revealed that the implementation of talaqqi, level-based grouping, and interactive digital media significantly enhanced students’ reading fluency, tajwid accuracy, and confidence. Novelty: This study presents an innovative application of Islamic education within a non-Islamic institutional context, adapting traditional methods like talaqqi and murojaah to contemporary, multicultural learning environments. Implications: Findings suggest that a tailored, structured tahsin program can bridge academic and religious excellence, offering a replicable model for integrating Islamic learning in global educational settings.Highlight : The Tahsin Program significantly improves students' ability to read the Qur’an correctly, especially in tajwid and makhraj. A level-based system ensures personalized learning that matches students' current reading abilities.
