Abstract

The writing of this article aims to examine Joachim Wach's ideas about the nature of religious experience and religious expression. In this study, using a qualitative approach with descriptive, exporative and analytical methods aimed at understanding what Joachim Wach meant by the nature of religious experience and expression of religion. This article also interprets or contextualizes Wach's ideas on religious phenomena in Indonesia. Nature of religious experience according to Joachim Wach is actually an individual or group experience that is inner between man and God. This relationship is always identified with one that cannot be studied or traced. Joachim Wach claims that the inner relationship between man and God will, of course, be traceable, giving rise to various religious expressions. Religious experience will tend to be expressed in three kinds of religious expressions, in the form of thoughts, actions and expressions of organizations or conspiracies.

Abstract

ABSTRACT : The writing in this article aims to examine the Historical Analysis of Anthropological Analysis of Variety of taboos in the Minangkabau people's marriage customs in Sangir District, South Solok Regency. This study will discuss the history of the emergence of customs and taboos in Minangkabau. This research is categorized into field research with qualitative research and historical anthropological approaches using ethnographic methods, namely research that examines a cultural phenomenon where an ethnographer when in the field does not use attributes as a marker of a researcher. Based on the results of the study, the marriage procession in Minangkabau custom generally consists of marasek, baimbang tando, mahanta siriah, bako-baki, Malam bainai and manjapuik marapulai. In Minangkabau traditional marriages there are taboos that should not be violated because every step in the Minangkabau marriage custom has a meaning that has been believed for generations. The history of adat in Minangkabau originates from animistic beliefs and there are taboos in customs that originate from ancestors. ABSTRAK : Tulisan dalam artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji Studi Analisis Historis Antropologi Ragam Pantangan-pantangan dalam adat Perkawinan masyarakat Minangkabau di Kecamatan Sangir Kabupaten Solok Selatan. Penelitian ini akan membahas tentang bagaimana sejarah munculnya adat dan pantangan-pantangan di Minangkabau. Penelitian ini dikategorikan kedalam penelitian lapangan dengan jenis penenelitian kualitatif dan pendekatan historis antropologi dengan menggunakan metode etnografi, yakni penelitian yang meneliti suatu fenomena kebudayaan dimana seorang etnografi ketika di lapangan tidak menggunakan atribut sebagai penanda seorang peneliti. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, prosesi perkawinan dalam adat Minangkabau secara garis besar terdiri dari marasek, batimbang tando, mahanta siriah, bako-baki, malam bainai dan manjapuik marapulai. Dalam perkawinan adat Minangkabau terdapat pantangan-pantangan yang tidak boleh dilanggar karena disetiap langkah-langkah dalam adat perkawinan Minangkabau memiliki makna yang sudah dipercaya secara turun temurun. Sejarah adat di Minangkabau berawal dari kepercayaan animisme dan terdapat pantangan-pantangan dalam adat yang bermula dari nenek moyang. Kata kunci: Perkawinan adat Minangkabau, pantangan-pantangan dalam adat Minangkabau, Kecamatan Sangir Kabupaten Solok Selatan.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the big producers of agricultural products in the world. Agriculture sector plays an important role in the national economic development structure. However, the proportion of young farmers (ages 20 to 30 years old) is only 8% of the farmer population (BPS, 2019). Majority proportion comes from old people with age interval from 50 to 60 years old. (Taufik Leoni, 2020). Based on our case study in Purwokerto, the problem that is often found by old age farmers is the reduced ability to see and recognize plant diseases. Furthermore, they also face the difficulty to follow the development of agricultural science so that some of their knowledge is outdated. That encourages us to make a mobile application to identify plant disease and connect them with scientists. Since the majority of farmers in Purwokerto plant tomatoes, we limit this research for tomato disease only. After studying some related previous research, we found most of them used a deep structure of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to reach a high accuracy. However, since our aim is to make daily use technology for old people, a high complexity model does not fit for this case. Therefore, we proposed our own CNN model with less complexity but got 89% accuracy. For future works, we plan to develop it for the other plants and hope it will help all farmers to do quality control, especially for the old age farmers.

Abstract

Modernitas ditandai dengan kemunculan Rasionalisme, Empirisme, dan mencapau puncaknya pada gerakan filosofis Positivisme. Positivisme merupakan gerakan filosofis yang berupaya membersihkan sains dari berbagai macam bentuk spekulasi metafisis. Sebagai upaya tersebut, Positivisme memberi pendasaran epistemologis dengan membatasi pengetahuan manusia pada hal-hal yang bersifat faktual. Seyyed Hossein Nasr menyatakan bahwa cara berpikir positivistic tersebut telah menjadi pandangan dunia masyarakat Modern. Nasr menyatakan bahwa hal tersebut secara konsekuensial akan menciptakan ketidakseimbangan antara akal, indra, dan juga mata hati manusia. Sehingga relasi antar manusia dan alam dalam kegiatan saintifik cenderung eksploitatif. Nasr mengusulkan untuk kembali pada Sufisme sebagai jantung agama Islam. Melalui Sufisme manusia mampu mempertajam mata hati, dan menciptakan keseimbangan antara akal, indra, dan juga hati. Tulisan ini berupaya menjelaskan bagaimana Tarekat Maulawiyah dapat mengambil peran dalam mengatasi problematika modernitas tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Pustaka dengan menggunakan metode analisis Hermeneutik Filsosofis Hans-Georg Gadamer. Metode ini berupaya untuk menghubungkan antara horizon pembaca dan penulis. Melalui penggabungan tersebut, tercipta bildungprozess (pembentukan jalan baru). Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ajaran spiritual Tarekat Maulawiyah berupa tari Sema, merupakan praktik spiritual yang mengandung makna berupa pengabdian dan penyerahan diri terhadap Allah dan Rasulullah SAW. Melalui tari Sema, para darwis menunjukkan bagaimana manusia bisa mencapai puncak spiritualitas melalui cinta dan pengabdian. Melalui praktik spiritual yang terartikulasikan melalui tarian sema tersebut, individu dapat mempertajam cahaya mata hati (the Light of Intellect), sehingga mampu menciptakan keselarasan antara akal, indra, dan hati dalam diri manusia modern.
