Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Al-Qur'an reading intensity on stress reduction among new students at Insan Scholar Boarding School, utilizing an expert system and PHP methods. Employing an experimental design and quantitative data analysis, this study compares stress levels before and after the implementation of an intensive Quran reading intervention. The data collection instrument uses a psychological scale, namely the DASS stress scale (Depression Anxiety own scale) adapted from the character lovibond & lovibond. Results indicate a significant decrease in stress levels among participants engaged in Quran reading activities compared to those who did not participate. These findings underline the importance of spiritual practices in stress management and suggest integrating Quran reading activities into mental health programs in educational environments. The study offers new insights into the application of spiritual methods alongside information technology to support students' psychological well-being, contributing significantly to stress management practices in similar educational settings. The implications of this research emphasize the need to recognize and integrate the spiritual dimension as a crucial component in stress reduction programs, as well as the potential for information technology applications to facilitate spiritual activities.

Abstract

Generasi sandwich merujuk pada individu yang memiliki tanggung jawab finansial terhadap dua generasi, yaitu orang tua dan anak-anak mereka. Istilah ini pertama kali diperkenalkan oleh Dorothy A. Miller pada tahun 1981. Generasi sandwich menghadapi tantangan besar dalam menyeimbangkan pekerjaan, pengasuhan anak, serta perawatan orang tua yang menua. Fenomena ini banyak terjadi di negara berkembang, termasuk Indonesia, di mana sekitar 48,7% masyarakat produktif (25-45 tahun) masuk dalam kategori ini. Beban finansial yang tinggi, meningkatnya biaya hidup, serta tekanan sosial menjadikan generasi sandwich rentan terhadap stres, kelelahan fisik, dan gangguan psikologis. Mereka juga menghadapi konflik peran yang berdampak pada kehidupan pribadi, keluarga, dan karier. Ada tiga jenis utama generasi sandwich: Traditional Sandwich Generation, Club Sandwich Generation, dan Open-Faced Sandwich Generation, yang berbeda berdasarkan jumlah tanggungan yang mereka miliki. Beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan munculnya generasi sandwich antara lain kegagalan pola asuh, kurangnya perencanaan keuangan jangka panjang, serta budaya yang menganggap anak sebagai investasi masa depan. Untuk mengatasi tantangan ini, individu dapat melakukan perencanaan keuangan yang lebih baik, membangun komunikasi yang asertif dengan keluarga, serta mencari dukungan sosial. Selain itu, strategi untuk memutus rantai generasi sandwich meliputi manajemen keuangan yang bijak, investasi, pengurangan gaya hidup konsumtif, serta memperbaiki relasi antar generasi. Meskipun generasi sandwich menghadapi berbagai tantangan, peran ini juga dapat membangun ketangguhan dan memberikan nilai sosial serta spiritual yang tinggi, terutama dalam konteks budaya Indonesia yang menjunjung tinggi gotong royong dan kekeluargaan.

Abstract

This assessment process aims to diagnose problems that occur in the General and Personnel Subdivision. The subjects involved in this study amounted to 4 people consisting of the Secretary of the Regional Civil Service Agency, the Head of the General and Personnel Sub-Division, and the Employees of the General and Personnel Sub-Division. The assessment method used is interviews and document studies. Based on the results of the analyst, it was found that problems related to the performance of the General and Personnel Sub Division are related to the lack of competence of leaders. This is related to managerial competence and personal competence, so that the work does not look optimal. In addition, there is dissatisfaction among group members due to the lack of interpersonal skills possessed by leaders.
