Abstract

Assessment of learning is one vital phase in the teaching-learning process inside the classroom. Assessment has been improving since there are various ways how to conduct the assessment. Here the purpose of this study was to demonstrate an assessment strategy using a visual basic application in PowerPoint. It can be classified as a free interactive quiz application for the ICT class. The findings revealed that the assessment tool was a valid and acceptable evaluation tool since it is evaluated as very much acceptable by the teachers. The assessment strategy using Visual Basic Application was a valid and acceptable evaluation tool by the teachers in terms of instruction, discussions, pictures used, and activities. The study recommends that learners be exposed to assessment strategies using the Visual Basic Application for a fast, convenient consolidation of their scores and evidence of true assessment.

Abstract

The study focused on finding good strategies to be applicable and timely in the new normal condition. We investigated whether the teacher-awardees sustained their performances in instructional competence and teaching effectiveness. This study is beneficial since its focus is on determining the extent of the level of sustainability of performance in instructional competence and teaching effectiveness which need to be taken into consideration by utilizing the analytical tool provided by the researcher and by providing seminars and training targeting how to give importance on their performances in instructional competence and teaching effectiveness which will be beneficial to their teaching profession and well-being.

Abstract

The current challenge faced by schools in returning to the traditional 5-day school week stems from various factors such as limited classroom availability, a shortage of educators, and the ongoing preference of certain schools for remote learning options. It is imperative that all educational institutions proactively anticipate unforeseen circumstances, encompassing not only weather-related disturbances but also the broader realm of potential future incidents. This study examined the applicability of offline mobile applications for modules and learning packs. The study employed a descriptive-analytic design which included 2,456 students based on web-based monitoring of offline mobile app installation and 189 teachers who completed the questionnaire on mobile application applicability. In the fourth quarter of 2023-2024, kindergarten to junior high school students and schools without modules and learning packets in the District of Cardona. Offline mobile applications allow students to learn at their own pace and in different situations. These offline mobile applications also improve educational accessibility, engagement, and usability.  The impact of technological advancements on the future of education is apparent, with offline mobile applications positioned to play a pivotal role in determining this trajectory.
