Abstract

This article examines how students feel about using Quipper School as an e-learning platform to teach English and discusses its benefits and drawbacks. Using the cluster sampling approach and concentrating on the survey study method, this study used two sample classes with a total of fifty-three participants. Twenty questionnaires were sent out to students to gauge their opinions of Quipper School. When exploring the benefits and drawbacks of implementing Quipper School, which has been done through student interviews, in-depth information seems to be as significant as continuous responses. The results showed that pupils prefer to utilize IT and are at ease using it for educational purposes. More importantly, Quipper School's benefits encourage interaction between students and teachers both within and outside of the classroom. Even though the teacher isn't in the room, the pupils still receive instruction or have a chance to review the content. It uses a revolutionary learning approach to improve students' learning experiences. Quipper school also has drawbacks when used in the educational process, for instance, erratic internet connections, restricted computer resources that facilitate study at Quipper School, additionally, there was no spoken material that could be used in a prep school. Today, employing a quipper school to teach English might be beneficial for studying and teaching. Although the teacher is not physically present to give direct instruction, students still receive a lesson, and by studying the information whenever and wherever they are, they can increase their success in learning English.

Abstract

A more in-depth information system is often referred to as a sub-system, which is a more specific component of a larger system. Information systems have close relationships and interdependencies with other sub-systems, making them inseparable from one another. An information system is just one component of various existing sub-systems, managed as property by a specific institution, organization, or company. Previous research or relevant studies aim to strengthen theories or phenomena related to the influence among variables. This article is structured using a qualitative method sourced from previous research literature by experts. The review's findings reveal components influencing Management Information Systems, namely: Software, Database, and Human Resources (Brainware). The results of this literature review indicate that 1) Software has an impact on Management Information Systems; 2) Databases also influence Management Information Systems; and 3) Human Resources also affect Management Information Systems.

Abstract

Teenagers easily access things they are looking for, including information about sexuality, which makes them vulnerable to negative impacts if not handled wisely. Information from social media is easily accessible to teenagers, making them susceptible to negative influences. This research aims to determine whether there is a relationship between self-control and the intensity of social media use with the tendency for risky sexual behavior in adolescents. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study is 1,686 students from SMK (X) Surabaya. The participants in this study were 268 students from SMK (X) Surabaya using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument uses a Likert scale, and the data analysis method used is multiple regression with the assistance of IBM SPPSS version 25.0 for windows. The results of the study show that the simultaneous test shows a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05). This means that self-control and the intensity of social media use are significantly related simultaneously to the tendency for risky sexual behavior. The partial test obtained a score of t = -8.343, indicating a negative relationship between self-control and the tendency for risky sexual behavior with a significant score of 0.00 (p <0.05). Meanwhile, the partial test obtained t = 14.611 with a significant score of 0.00 (p <0.05), indicating a significant positive relationship between the intensity of social media use and the tendency for risky sexual behavior. Remaja dengan mudah mengakses hal yang ingin dicarinya salah satunya tetang seksualitas yang membuat remaja rentan akan dampak negatif jika tidak dilakukan dengan bijak. Informasi dari media sosial dengan mudah diakses remaja, sehingga remaja rentan terpengaruh buruk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara kontrol diri dan intensitas penggunaan media sosial dengan kecenderungan perilaku seks bebas pada remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah 1.686 SMK (X) Surabaya. Partisipan penelitian ini berjumlah 268 siswa-siswi SMK (X) Surabaya dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrument penelitian menggunakan skala likert, metode untuk analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi berganda dengan bantuan IBM SPPSS versi 25.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa uji simultan menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p<0,05). Artinya bahwa kontrol diri dan intensitas penggunaan media sosial berhubungan signifikan secara simultan (bersama-sama) terhadap kecenderungan perilaku seks bebas. Uji parsial diperoleh skor t= -8,343 terdapat hubungan negatif antara kontrol diri dengan kecenderungan perilaku seks bebas dengan skor signifikan sebesar 0,00 (p<0,05). Sedangkan uji parsial diperoleh t= 14,611 dengan skor signifikan sebesar 0,00 (p<0,05) terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara intensitas penggunaan media sosial dengan kecenderungan perilaku seks bebasdan jelas. Kata kunci: Kontrol Diri, Intensitas Penggunaan Media Sosial, Kecenderungan Perilaki Seks Bebas.
