Abstract

In fish farming, it is necessary to pay attention to the difference in concentration between the environmental media and body fluids to maintain osmoregulation. Factors that affect the growth and survival of fish, in addition to feed, are water quality. Temperature can affect fish activity in growth, respiration, and reproduction. The high temperatures can reduce dissolved oxygen and affect the appetite of fish. The optimum temperature for fish appetite is 25 C – 35 C. This study aimed to compare the effect of different feed frequencies on the growth and survival of carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) at UPT BBI Sukorejo Gondang legi. The research method was direct practice in the field using a RAK, consisting of three treatments, namely: T1 = fed one time/day (pk 07.00), T2 = fed two times/day (pk 07.00 and pk 17.00), and T3 = fed three times/day (07.00 pk, 12.00 pk and 17.00 pk) with six replications. The results showed a significant difference in the feeding frequency, which differed from the carp's growth rate and survival. This study concludes that the frequency of feeding significantly affects the growth and survival of carp, where the best survival is the third treatment.   Keywords: feed efficiency, growth and survival of goldfish (Cyprinus carpio L)   ABSTRAK Budidaya ikan memerlukan perbedaan konsentrasi dari konsentrasi cairan tubuh dan media lingkungan hidup agar osmoregulasi bisa pertahankan. Faktor yang berpengaruh pada kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan ikan mas adalah pakan, kualitas air, dan suhu. Suhu berpengaruh pada aktivitas ikan di proses pertumbuhan, pernapasan, serta proses reproduksi. Suhu paling sesuai untuk makan ikan berkisar 25 ᵒC – 35 ᵒC. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan antara pengaruh pemberian pakan dengan frekuensi  berbeda terhadap kelulushidupan dan pertumbuhan ikan mas yang ada di UPT BBI Sukorejo Gondang legi. Penelitian ini bertempat di BBI Gondang Legi di bulan juni-juli 2021. Penelitian dilaksanakan memakai pratik langsung lapangan memakai RAK dengan  tiga perlakuan berikut : P1 = diberi pakan 1 kali/hari (pk 07.00), P2 = diberi pakan 2 kali/hari (pk 07.00 dan pk 17.00) dan P3 = diberi pakan 3 kali/hari (pk 07.00, pk 12.00  dan pk 17.00) dengan enam kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan angka laju pertumbuhan 95.00 dan kelangsungsan hidup 147.00 bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan terhadap frekuensi pemberian pakan yang berbeda terhadap kelangsungan hidup dan laju pertumbuhan ikan mas. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu dengan frekuensi pemberian pakan berbeda maka akan  berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kelulushidupan serta pertumbuhan  ikan mas. Kelulushidupan paling baik ada diperlakuan ke tiga. Kata kunci : Efesiensi Pakan, Pertumbuhan dan kelulus hidupan Ikan Mas (Cyprinus carpio L)

Abstract

The low nutrient content and acidic soil pH (pH 5) are a significant problem in Tangsil Wetan Village, Bondowoso, where most of the population works as farmers. This condition affects the growth and productivity of the farm's produce. To address this issue, we introduced liquid organic fertilizer derived from rabbit urine. The work was implemented in several phases: socialization, training in the production of rabbit urine-based liquid organic fertilizer, fertilizer application, and subsequent observation. The fertilizer production process involves fermenting rabbit urine mixed with molasses, EM4 liquid, and water for ten days. The resulting liquid fertilizer is then applied to the rice fields in three stages of spraying. We conducted observations to measure soil parameters, such as pH, before and after fertilizer application. The results indicated an improvement in soil conditions after the three sprayings, with a notable increase in soil pH from 5.0 to 5.4. However, the short-term impact on plants has been limited; consistent application is necessary to achieve maximum results.
