Abstract

Rata-rata yang menjadi korban kekerasan seksual adalah anak dan remaja. Di Pusat Pengembangan Anak (PPA) ID-0319 pernah terjadi kekerasan seksual terhadap anak. Merujuk pada fenomena ini menjadi alasan perlu dilakukannya kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa sosialisasi pencegahan kekerasan seksual pada anak. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengetahuan anak dan remaja, anggota PPA ID-0319 di Kabupaten Halmahera sehingga dapat mencegah terjadinya kekerasan seksual di kemudian hari. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk sosialisasi sebanyak dua kali yakni pada tanggal 15 dan 22 Mei 2022. Peserta pada kegiatan ini adalah anggota PPA ID-0319 dengan jenjang usia anak, remaja, dan pemuda. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi dalam bentuk ceramah, diskusi dan tanya jawab. Hasilnya melalui kegiatan ini anggoata PPA ID-0319 mendapat pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang bentuk-bentuk kekerasan seksual, dampak kekerasan seksual, siapa yang dapat menjadi pelaku serta bagaimana mencegah terjadinya kekerasan seksual. Sejak dini anak-anak perlu dibekali dengan pengetahuan tentang kekerasan seksual agar mereka dapat memiliki pengetahuan dan pemahaman yang cukup untuk memproteksi dirinya dari kekerasan seksual.

Abstract

Suicide is an act committed with the intention of ending one's own life. Suicide is caused by many factors, such as stress and depression. Data from the National Police Criminal Information Center shows that there have been 594 cases of suicide in Indonesia from January 1 to May 28, 2020. This figure shows that suicide is a serious problem that needs to be prevented so that the number does not continue to increase. Therefore, this community service project focuses on suicide prevention using the Hibua Lamo cultural approach. The goal of this project is to strengthen the social resilience of the community, especially the youth of Upa-Kali Upa, so that the community becomes a component that strengthens and protects each other. The methods used in this project consist of three stages, namely observation, preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results obtained were an increase in the awareness of the youth of the village of Upa-Kali Upa regarding the importance of culture as an alternative that can be used to prevent suicide.

Abstract

Sexual violence can happen anywhere, anytime, and by anyone. In 2021, the Foster children of Children's Development Center (PPA) ID-0319 were confirmed to have been victims of sexual violence. PPA, as a service institution, has provided psychological and legal treatment and assistance to victims and their families by involving professionals. However, PPA needs education related to the prevention of sexual violence. Therefore, the purpose of this activity is to provide children with an understanding of assertive behavior. The method used was a fun learning approach in the form of presentations, questions and answers, and playing together. This activity consists of 40 participants. After presenting the material, participants played a game of Snakes and Ladders. The results of this activity are the improvement of participants' knowledge, as evidenced by their ability to answer questions on the "asek" learning card correctly. Thus, it can be concluded that the assertive behavior of PPA ID-0319 members can be increased through education.
