Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find the values conveyed in the film of Bumi Manusia regarding the social values of the Javanese people and to find out the cultural values conveyed in the film of Bumi Manusia regarding Javanese society. This research is included in qualitative research. The type of research that researchers use is research (documentary research). The data collection technique carried out is to identify several images and dialogues contained in shots and scenes which depict the social and cultural values of the Javanese people. By using descriptive methods and content analysis methods, namely analyzing scenes, and character dialogues based on social and cultural values. The results of this study are expected to be able to answer research questions about social and cultural values in a film and later can be scientifically accounted for and provide advice to young filmmakers in their work.

Abstract

Improving skills should be a concern for educators to support student abilities, but not all educators pay attention to the importance of improving skills. One of them is in terms of writing for teachers at the Vocational High School level. At Vocational High School in Payakumbuh, which is a Vocational School that has majors including Computer Network Engineering, Multimedia, and Software Engineering (Broadcasting), with the sophistication of this IT-based school, of course, it already has facilities in the field of Information and Communication Technology that are qualified. The type of research used is in the form of School Action Research (PTS). School Action Research is an amalgamation of action research. Action research was developed with the intention of finding solutions to social problems. Action research begins with a systematic study of a problem. The results of the study are used as the basis for developing a work plan (action) in an effort to overcome the problem. The conclusion obtained from the research on improving the writing ability of Vocational High School in Payakumbuh teachers through blog-based autobiographical techniques is that there is an increase in the writing ability of Vocational High School in Payakumbuh teachers after attending a workshop on blog-based autobiographical techniques. Teachers' motivation to improve their writing skills also increased, and enthusiasm for using blog or website media to be more optimized.

Abstract

Advertising is currently facing significant difficulties, whether people know the effect of the number of advertisements on advertising saturation. The public is presented with communication tools by the new era media. Anyone involved in advertising should be aware of this situation because the evolution of advertising is parallel to the new media movement. As a result, the expectations of the target market segment will be better met. A profession associated with a new style of advertising, driven by the appearance and popularity of social media, has responded to the challenges of today's new advertising style. utilizing social media as a new choice in communication strategies, such as Instagram social media which is a forum or place for building relationships, communicating with anyone and anywhere, showing pictures or short videos, expressing expressions using the available comments column, the function of Instagram social media is also a social media that builds a good image or picture in the process of marketing products or services offered by entrepreneurs or business people

Abstract

Building relationships with the media is very important for public relations practitioners. Their success in carrying out PR tasks in order to reach the attention of audiences is largely determined by their understanding of strategies for building relations with the media as well as the intelligence and tactics of public relations practitioners in building relationships with media. Good relations with the mass media are built using the right communication strategy, namely the method used for smooth communication between public relations and the mass media. The good relations referred to here are good relations with media institutions and between public relations and journalists. A good relationship with the mass media is very important for public relations. Like an army going out to battle, he needs understanding and mastery of war strategy. Likewise with public relations practitioners, for the success of publicity, also requires understanding and mastery of strategies to build relationships with the media
