Abstract

Issues related to patients who complain about health services in hospitals with the mass media are important and complex issues. Patients have the right to complain about the services received, and hospitals have the obligation to follow up on these complaints. However, in practice, there are still several obstacles that hinder the implementation of legal protection. These obstacles include patients' lack of understanding of their rights, limited access for patients to submit complaints, imbalance in legal protection for patients and hospitals, and unbalanced media coverage. To overcome these obstacles, concrete efforts are needed from various stakeholders, such as increasing patient understanding, providing easily accessible means of complaints, and improving regulations related to health services in hospitals through the mass media. With the implementation of these suggestions, it is expected that legal protection for patients can be improved, and better health services can be realized.

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of mask usage in preventing the spread of Upper Respiratory Tract Infections (URTIs) in school environments. The aim of this research is to evaluate how effective mask usage can be in reducing the incidence of URTIs among students and school staff. The method used is a qualitative literature review, analyzing various previous studies that discuss the impact of mask usage in educational contexts. Data were collected from academic journals, health reports, and related publications covering a range of recent years. The results of the study indicate that mask usage significantly reduces the transmission of pathogens causing URTIs in school settings, especially when combined with other hygiene practices such as handwashing and proper cough etiquette. The conclusion of this research confirms that masks are an effective tool in minimizing the spread of URTIs, and their implementation in schools can be a crucial step in maintaining the health of students and staff. This study recommends the widespread adoption of mask-wearing policies in schools, particularly during flu season or in situations of respiratory disease outbreaks.

Abstract

According to a UNESCO report, more than 80% of industrial wastewater containing hazardous substances is discharged without treatment. This research aims to understand the implementation of Permen LHK Number 6 of 2021 in the management of hazardous waste at PT Bina Guna Kimia and the role of the Semarang Regency Environmental Agency (DLH). The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with empirical juridical methods. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies, and validated by source triangulation and analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that PT Bina Guna Kimia has implemented Permen LHK No. 6 of 2021 well, although there are still challenges such as the lack of understanding of employees about waste classification. The B3 waste management system in this company is quite effective with strict procedures in identification, storage, transportation, recording through logbooks, and real-time monitoring through the SIMPEL application. The company also regularly conducts training and works with certified vendors. DLH Semarang Regency plays an active role through supervision, socialization, compliance audits, coaching, and education to businesses to increase environmental awareness and compliance. This study suggests that DLH and PT Bina Guna Kimia improve education and training programs, and encourage industry players to seek alternative funding for the implementation of environmentally friendly technology. In addition, collaboration between stakeholders needs to be improved to create effective and sustainable hazardous waste management.
