Abstract

Findings from various sources are gathered in this article to highlight the important role of educators in developing curriculum. Teachers must successfully implement the curriculum in the classroom as part of their function as educators. They play an important role in the teaching process. Meanwhile, the curriculum functions as a framework for organizing and planning educational resources used in teaching and learning activities. The background to writing this article arises from the author's understanding of indications that the role of teachers is not optimal, especially in applying the concept of an independent curriculum. The purpose of this article is to dig deeper into the role of teachers in developing an independent curriculum. The research method used is library research or library research, involving various sources such as books, articles and related research. The authors' findings highlight how important it is for teachers to play a critical role in developing curriculum in educational institutions, focusing on their capacity to communicate knowledge effectively so that the curriculum can be implemented. The analysis and conclusions of the discussion chapter produce useful recommendations, such as how important it is for educators to understand technological advances, how to adapt to an ever-changing curriculum, and how to prioritize tasks so they can be completed efficiently.

Abstract

The younger generation is increasingly using social media, especially Instagram. The user's identity appears to be reflected in the content produced. The aim of this research is to examine how Muhammadiyah 20 Solokuro Middle School students develop a sense of self through Instagram. This research uses the Uses and Gratifications theory and qualitative descriptive methods by means of observation, interviews and collecting documentation as secondary data. The findings of this research indicate that students at SMP Muhammadiyah 20 Solokuro created a self-concept for two reasons: to fulfill their need for social integrity (a social integrative need) and their need for cognitive stimulation (a cognitive need). In addition, the informants displayed three characteristics of self-concept: self-awareness, self-defense, and differentiation between real and ideal self, true and false self. Likes, comments and the information they post are some of the elements that can influence how people perceive themselves. They don't really care about their followers. Because Instagram users do not meet in person, informants feel more comfortable interacting on the application than when chatting face to face.

Abstract

This study examines the challenges in fostering students' creative thinking in learning Akidah Akhlak at MTs Muhammadiyah 13 Solokuro Lamongan and highlights the implementation of the Time Token Model as a solution. The formulation of the problem includes learning Akidah Akhlak, creative thinking through the Time Token Model, and its impact. The research method uses a qualitative experimental approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the learning adapts the 2013 curriculum with a collaborative approach, while the Time Token Model is effective in improving students' creativity through discussion, sharing opinions, and solving ethical problems. The implementation of the model successfully improves students' understanding of the concept of Akidah Akhlak as well as their communication and creative thinking skills Penelitian ini mengkaji tantangan dalam membangkitkan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTs Muhammadiyah 13 Solokuro Lamongan dan menyoroti penerapan Model Time Token sebagai solusi. Rumusan masalah meliputi pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak, berpikir kreatif melalui Model Time Token, dan dampaknya. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif eksperimen dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi partisipan, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran tersebut menyesuaikan kurikulum 2013 dengan pendekatan kolaboratif, sementara Model Time Token efektif dalam meningkatkan kreativitas siswa melalui diskusi, berbagi pendapat, dan pemecahan masalah etika. Penerapan model tersebut berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep Akidah Akhlak serta kemampuan komunikasi dan berpikir kreatif mereka.

Abstract

The nature of a country is reflected in the people who live there. Considering that children are skilled imitators, it is important to instill character education in them from an early age. A child's progress will contribute to the nation's positive outlook on life in the future. On the other hand, the personality of a nation will also be bad if the younger generation has bad character. The Hizbul Wathan (HW) scouting movement provides a platform for developing student character in schools affiliated with Muhammadiyah. This research aims to explain the implementation of character education through HW scouting activities. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with case study. The research site is MI Muhammadiyah 2 Solokuro students from grades 3 to 6 who are active in taking part in HW scouting activities. The research findings show how character education initiatives through HW scouting activities are carried out regularly, through lectures and punishments. With this research, it is believed that character education in Indonesia will become more advanced in the future, one way is through HW scouting which is one way to make the country smarter.
