Abstract

Based on several recent studies, children's language development is closely related to parents' parenting patterns. Home and parents are the first ecological aspects for children's development. This research aims to prove these scientific (theoretical) claims. The method used was quantitative with a correlational research design, the number of respondents was 35 parents of K1 level at early childhood education West Jakarta Christian schools. Data were analyzed using Spearman correlation, validity using Product Moment and reliability using the Cronbach Alpha test for the Parenting Pattern variable and Cohen's Kappa for the language development variable. The research results showed that 35 parents of students used an authoritative parenting style, the calculated Rs calculation result was 0.2404 while the z table value at a significance of 0.05 was 1.96. Because the Z table is greater than the calculated Rs, it is concluded that there is no significant correlation between variable X (parental parenting) and variable Y (child's language development).

Abstract

Perkembangan sosial emosional adalah aspek perkembangan yang penting untuk dimiliki oleh setiap individu. Namun, tidak semua anak dapat mengembangkan kemampuan sosial emosional ini dengan maksimal karena adanya gangguan. Salah satu gangguan yang terjadi adalah Pervasive Developmental Disorder - Not Otherwise Specified (PDD - NOS). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi strategi-strategi yang digunakan pada anak PPD-NOS untuk membantu mengembangkan kemampuan sosial emosionalnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada salah satu anak dengan PDD-NOS. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara tidak terstruktur terhadap orang tua, observasi langsung perilaku anak di rumah, dan observasi tidak langsung perilaku anak melalui YouTube dan TikTok. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang digunakan pada anak PDD-NOS adalah Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), role-play, playing, dan latihan menjelaskan. Terlihat bahwa anak tersebut sudah dapat berkomunikasi dua arah dengan orang lain, memberikan kontak mata ketika berkomunikasi dan berusaha tidak meninggikan suara ketika berkomunikasi.

Abstract

Pedagogical competence is one of the important competencies for teachers. XYZ University is one of the LPTK to ensure prospective teachers achieving pedagogical competence by organizing the Clinical Placement Practicum program. This research is an evaluation study using the Context Input Process Product (CIPP) model. Data collection was through interviews, questionnaires, and document studies. The data validity was through the process of source triangulation. Data analysis used the stages of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The evaluation results: a) Context, it appears that the program's objectives align with the achievement of the faculty’s graduate profile, particularly in the aspect of competence, specifically in pedagogical competence; b) Input, the resources used have not fully supported the effectiveness of the PPK program implementation to support the pedagogical competence of students; c) Process, the DPL and Mentor Teachers have made efforts with various mentoring actions. However, the guidance provided needs to be further improved; d) Product, students are able to provide emotional support, listening and interacting skills, ability to group early childhood children according to developmental aspects, and consistently applying rules and procedures. However, students need to improve the ability to plan appropriate methods and teaching aids, provide scaffolding, reinforce the child's potential, maintain a reflective and evaluative attitude personally, and use appropriate methods and teaching aids.
