Abstract

The city of Cirebon has a wealth of valuable traditions and cultural heritage, especially the tradition of Panjang Jimatan in Kasepuhan Palace. However, globalization and modernization threaten the preservation of this tradition. This research aims to understand the essence of the Panjang Jimatan tradition as part of Indonesia's national identity and find strategies for its preservation in the modern era. Through a qualitative and case study approach, this research uses observation, interviews, and documentation for data collection. The informants involved include traditional leaders, community organizations, and local communities. The results show that the Panjang Jimatan tradition is a religious ritual and reflects deep cultural, historical, and spiritual values. The values and symbolism in this tradition emphasize respect for the Prophet Muhammad and the spirit of mutual cooperation in the community. The new findings of this research show that the community's active involvement and the government's support are very important in preserving this tradition. This research contributes to providing new insights into cultural tradition preservation strategies as part of efforts to strengthen national identity and maintain traditional cultural heritage in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the use of the traditional game Congklak as a creative and educational learning medium in the context of Citizenship Education (PKn). The research method uses a literature review approach, by summarizing literature relevant to the research topic. The focus is on analyzing the benefits and implications of using Congklak Nusantara (COLAKTRA) in Civics learning. The results show that Congklak has an important role in children's development, supporting their physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual growth. The use of Congklak in Civics learning through COLAKTRA increases student involvement and creates a pleasant learning atmosphere. The integration of Civics values into Congklak makes it a medium that invites players to reflect on and appreciate Indonesia's cultural riches. The conclusion of this research confirms that COLAKTRA is not just a game, but also an effort to preserve cultural heritage and form a generation that loves the country. It is hoped that the use of traditional games in Civics learning can help students understand and experience the diversity of Indonesia, so that they become competent citizens. Thus, COLAKTRA has the potential to be an effective tool in achieving the goals of citizenship education. Keywords: Learning Media, Civics Learning, Traditional Games Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki penggunaan permainan tradisional Congklak sebagai media pembelajaran kreatif dan edukatif dalam konteks Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn). Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan tinjauan pustaka, dengan merangkum literatur yang relevan dengan topik penelitian. Fokusnya adalah pada analisis manfaat dan implikasi penggunaan Congklak Nusantara (COLAKTRA) dalam pembelajaran PKn. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa Congklak memiliki peran penting dalam pengembangan anak-anak, mendukung pertumbuhan fisik, mental, intelektual, dan spiritual mereka. Penggunaan Congklak dalam pembelajaran PKn melalui COLAKTRA meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan. Integrasi nilai-nilai PKn ke dalam Congklak membuatnya menjadi medium yang mengajak pemain untuk merenung dan menghargai kekayaan kultural Indonesia. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa COLAKTRA bukan hanya sebuah permainan, tetapi juga upaya pelestarian warisan budaya dan pembentukan generasi yang cinta tanah air. Penggunaan permainan tradisional dalam pembelajaran PKn diharapkan dapat membantu siswa memahami dan merasakan keberagaman Indonesia, sehingga mereka menjadi warga negara yang kompeten. Dengan demikian, COLAKTRA memiliki potensi sebagai alat yang efektif dalam mencapai tujuan pendidikan kewarganegaraan. Kata kunci: Media Pembelajaran, Pembelajaran PKn, Permainan Tradisional

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the education sector, forcing a change from conventional learning to online learning. This situation is a special challenge for elementary school teachers who are used to face-to-face learning. This article discusses the Class 1 Teaching Campus Program as the Indonesian government's response to improving the quality of education in the midst of the pandemic. This program involves students in providing teaching assistance in elementary schools in various regions. The main focus is to develop students' interpersonal and technical skills and make a positive contribution to the learning process in elementary schools. The program implementation method involves preparation, implementation, observation, and design. In the teaching stage, students succeeded in increasing students' motivation and interest in learning, while teachers and schools found it easy to implement online and offline learning. This program has also succeeded in adapting technology to support learning, including the use of laptops and MS Excel applications. The evaluation results show a positive impact on students' abilities and ease of learning management for teachers. The Batch 1 Teaching Campus Program at Cihaur State Elementary School, Sukabumi Regency, West Java, can be considered successful in increasing the effectiveness of learning during the pandemic emergency. Increasing student interest in learning and adapting technology are important points in dealing with sudden changes in the learning system. This program creates positive integration of values ​​in the social and educational system in Cihaur Village. Therefore, it is important to implement this kind of collaborative activity widely to support improving the quality of education in the future.

Abstract
