Abstract

Protection of child victims of sexual violence is a very important issue in Aceh, Indonesia. Children, as a vulnerable group, need strong protection and support to overcome the negative impacts that may arise from sexual violence. In this context, many actors implement child protection policies, including the central government, DPR RI, regional governments, and institutions such as the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) and the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK). This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with literature study methods and online data search. Data analysis techniques involve organizing data, coding, and developing descriptions and themes. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide a better understanding of the role of policy actors in protecting children from sexual violence. This article identifies these actors and describes their role in implementing policies to protect child victims of sexual violence in Aceh. These actors' roles include legislation, supervision, assistance, trauma recovery, legal assistance, motivation, and collaboration between institutions. The analysis results show that cooperation and coordination between these actors is very important to ensure that children who are victims of sexual violence receive comprehensive protection. As awareness of the importance of child protection increases, this article provides a better understanding of how these actors play a role in protecting children in Aceh from sexual violence.

Abstract

Infant mortality remains a public health problem in Aceh Province, Indonesia. Health services during pregnancy are an essential factor in reducing infant mortality. Studies examining factors such as maternal and child health services that have implications for infant mortality in Aceh province are still scarce. Therefore, this study aims to examine the correlation between maternal and child health services variables such as Blood-Supplementing Tablets (TTD), Coverage of the First Visit of Pregnant Women (K1), Coverage of the First Visit of Pregnant Women (K4), and management of Obstetric Complications to live births and to map the maternal and child health services obtained during pregnancy. A cross-sectional study was used as the research study. This study used descriptive statistics, such as measures of data centering and data dispersion. In this work, inferential statistical analysis was conducted using the Shapiro-Wilk test, Spearman test, and fuzzy c-means. The result of the Shapiro Wilk test stated that the live birth rate variable and all Maternal and Child Healthcare Services variables were not normally distributed (p-value < 0.05), all Maternal and Child Healthcare Services variables were positively correlated to live birth rate based on the Spearman test (p-value < 0.05). Based on the Silhouette Index with 0.555, the formation of 3 clusters is the optimal cluster. The clustering is based on the Maternal and Child Healthcare Services that have been provided, where the first, second, and third clusters consist of five districts/city, eight districts/city, and ten districts/city, respectively, as a result of Fuzzy C-Means Clustering.

Abstract

The development of COVID-19 cases in Aceh for each region based on spatio-temporal is vital information to know. Spatio-temporal mapping is carried out to knowthe distribution of cases in diversity based on regional and time conditions. The timeseries design study was used as the research design in this study. This study aims toobtain factors that influence the incidence of COVID-19 cases in Aceh using paneldata regression analysis and the GTWR model for more accurate results. There arenine variables from 23 districts/cities in Aceh Province in 2020 and 2021. Based onpartial panel data regression analysis, of the eight independent variables that arefactors for analysis, it shows that only the variable number of doctors (p < 0.000),number of Tuberculosis Cases (p < 0.000), Number of Villages with Puskesmas (p< 0.026), and Number of Poor population (p < 0.035) have a significant effect onthe increase in COVID-19 cases in Aceh. The number of Tuberculosis Cases is avery dominant variable. Then, the results of the GTWR analysis using the AdaptiveKernel Exponential weighting function show that regional and time diversity affectthe factors that cause an increase in COVID-19 cases in Aceh. These factors need tobe a concern in controlling COVID-19 cases in Aceh in the future.
