Abstract

Technology has brought changes to the result of women's blood science propaganda on social media. In some traditions, menstruation is considered a taboo thing to discuss openly. Even women who experience menstruation have to undergo certain rituals that are patriarchal. This research is a qualitative case study research and uses descriptive data analysis. By using Pierre Felix Bourdieu's theoretical approach, this article attempts to explore @dailyhaid's da'wah strategy so that it is accepted by various circles of Indonesian Muslim society, how the @dailyhaid Instagram account attempts to educate the public about the science of women's blood through social media, and what is behind it. Hence, it dares to raise the previously considered taboo theme in public spaces. An important finding from this research is that there are rational and emotional reasons. Sound in the form of choosing Instagram as a medium to reach a wider community and passionate in the form of the founder's empathy for the lack of knowledge of Muslim women regarding the science of women's blood jurisprudence. Apart from that, there is some capital that @dailyhaid has so it can be accepted in society. Some of their money, part of traditionalist circles, can strengthen religious authority on social media. In this case, content determination also uses Islamic boarding school methods, such as using classical literature or the Yellow Book. Second, the ability to master technology. Artikel berikut mengkaji mengenai perkembangan teknologi yang telah memberikan kebebasan masyarakat dalam mencari informasi dan mereduksi hal-hal tabu. Teknologi membawa perubahan bagi perkembangan dakwah ilmu darah wanita di media sosial. Dalam beberapa tradisi, menstruasi dianggap sebagai hal yang tabu untuk dibicarakan secara terbuka. Bahkan perempuan yang mengalami menstruasi harus menjalani ritual tertentu yang bersifat patriarkis. Dengan memakai pendekatan teori habitus milik Pierre Felix Bourdieu, artikel ini berupaya menggali strategi dakwah @dailyhaid sehingga diterima di berbagai kalangan masyarakat muslim Indonesia, bagaimana upaya akun instagram @dailyhaid mengedukasi masyarakat tentang ilmu darah wanita melalui media sosial, dan apa yang melatarbelakangi sehingga berani mengangkat tema yang dulunya dianggap tabu ke ruang publik. Selain menjadi angin segar bagi banyak kalangan, terutama perempuan, @dailyhaid juga merupakan bagian dari kalangan tradisionalis yang melakukan penguatan otoritas keagamaan di media sosial. Cara penentuan konten juga menggunakan cara-cara pesantren, seperti penggunakan literatur klasik atau kitab kuning. Tidak hanya fokus terhadap materi, akun dakwah ini juga fokus berdakwah dengan inovatif dan kreatif agar diterima di banyak kalangan, terutama kalangan luar pesantren.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Indonesia, as part of civil society, have played a significant role in addressing various contemporary social issues, including environmental challenges. While several studies have explored pesantren engagement with ecological issues, the environmental thought of Sahal Mahfudz, particularly its connection to his concept of fiqh sosial and Islamic eco-theology remains underexplored. This study aims to examine the sociological ideas of Sahal Mahfudz in responding to environmental challenges through the institution of pesantren. This study employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach, collecting data from Sahal Mahfudz’s works related to environmental issues, as well as secondary data from various scholarly literature, articles, and other media sources. Data analysis was conducted using thematic and interpretive analysis techniques. The findings reveal that Sahal Mahfudz integrates Islamic theological principles, such as khalifah (stewardship) and ibadatullah (worship) with social responsibility, positioning pesantren as transformative agents for ecological preservation through tradition, dialogue, and community-based action. The implications of this study highlight the importance of strengthening pesantren capacity to foster ecological consciousness and practices, and suggest that fiqh sosial can be further developed into an interdisciplinary framework bridging theology, sociology, and environmental studies. Pesantren di Indonesia sebagai bagian dari civil society telah berperan dalam menghadapi berbagai isu sosial kontemporer, termasuk masalah lingkungan hidup. Meskipun sejumlah studi telah membahas keterlibatan pesantren dalam isu-isu ekologi, pemikiran Sahal Mahfudz mengenai lingkungan, terutama keterkaitannya dengan konsep fiqh sosial dan praktik ekoteologi Islam, masih jarang dieksplorasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji ide-ide sosiologis Sahal Mahfudz dalam merespons tantangan lingkungan melalui peran pesantren. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka, data dikumpulkan dari karya-karya Sahal Mahfudz yang berkaitan dengan lingkungan hidup, serta data sekunder dari berbagai literatur ilmiah, artikel, dan media lainnya. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis tematik dan interpretif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sahal Mahfudz mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai teologis Islam, seperti konsep khalifah dan ibadatullah dengan tanggung jawab sosial, membentuk pesantren sebagai agen transformasi ekologi berbasis tradisi, dialog, dan aksi komunitas. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya memperkuat kapasitas pesantren dalam membangun kesadaran dan praksis ekologis, serta mendorong pengembangan fiqh sosial sebagai kerangka interdisipliner yang menghubungkan teologi, sosiologi, dan studi lingkungan.

Abstract

Abstrak Isu perubahan iklim menjadi salah satu tantangan global yang memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap kehidupan manusia, mulai dari bencana alam hingga perubahan pada pola kehidupan sosial dan ekonomi. Dalam menghadapi perubahan iklim, pendekatan berbasis ilmiah sering kali menjadi fokus utama, namun pendekatan berbasis keagamaan juga memiliki peran yang penting. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk menganalisis peran Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), salah satu organisasi masyarakat sipil berbasis Islam terbesar di Indonesia, dalam menghadapi perubahan iklim. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa NU tidak hanya mengedepankan pendekatan berbasis teologi dalam memahamkan umatnya, tetapi juga berperan aktif dalam berbagai program konkret untuk mendukung upaya pelestarian lingkungan. NU memanfaatkan jaringan organisasinya yang luas untuk menyebarkan informasi tentang pentingnya menjaga lingkungan sebagai bagian dari kewajiban agama. Penelitian ini mendukung temuan Robert W. Hefner yang menyatakan bahwa civil Islam di Indonesia berperan penting dalam mendorong demokratisasi dan memperkuat peran masyarakat sipil dalam menghadapi berbagai isu kontemporer, dalam hal ini adalah isu lingkungan dan perubahan iklim. Kontribusi NU dalam isu ini juga sejalan dengan penelitian Jens Koershen yang menyoroti bagaimana organisasi masyarakat dapat menjadi perpanjangan tangan pemerintah dalam membantu masyarakat beradaptasi dengan perubahan iklim.   Abstract The issue of climate change is one of the global challenges that significantly impact human life, ranging from natural disasters to changes in social and economic life patterns. In climate change, scientific-based approaches are often the main focus, but religious-based approaches also have an important role. This study uses a qualitative method to analyze the role of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), one of Indonesia's largest Islamic-based civil society organizations, in dealing with climate change. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and study of relevant documents. The results show that NU not only puts forward a theology-based approach to understanding its people but also plays an active role in various concrete programs to support environmental conservation efforts. NU utilizes its extensive organizational network to spread information about the importance of protecting the environment as part of religious obligations. This research supports Robert W. Hefner's findings that civil Islam in Indonesia plays an important role in promoting democratization and strengthening the role of civil society in dealing with various contemporary issues, in this case, environmental issues and climate change. NU's contribution to this issue also aligns with Jens Koershen's research, which highlights how community organizations can be an extension of the government in helping communities adapt to climate change.

Abstract

The Yogyakarta Platenalbum manuscript is a manuscript that tells about Javanese culture, especially Yogyakarta. This text contains various cultures, such as children's games, palaces, people's weddings, ceremonies inside and outside the court, tales, wayang, performances, procedures, customs, agriculture, and one text that explains Candraning Wanita. Using literature library research, this article discusses people's wedding attire in the Yogyakarta Platenalbum manuscript No. 26-30. From this research process, several models of clothing were used during commoners' wedding celebrations. The clothes worn by the people are certainly different from those used by the royal family. This is caused by differences in social status in Javanese society, especially in Yogyakarta and Surakarta. In different moments or processions, but still in a series of weddings, the bride and groom wear different clothes. Not only the bride and groom, but the family and neighbors involved in a series of wedding rituals, also wear clothes regulated by Javanese custom.
