Abstract

The Covid-19 virus is very easily transmitted, causing very high incidence of morbidity and mortality in the world since 2019. Covid-19 is a new virus that attacks the respiratory system, people are not fully familiar with it, so they still ignore health protocols causing transmission to continue to spread. It's good to prevent transmission starting at home, but with independent isolation at home, transmission of Covid-19 will easily occur from infected patients without symptoms to other family members. Central Ende District, where this research took place, there were 11 people in close contact, 42 people positive for the highest PCR SWAB in Ende Regency, 2 people in isolation at Ende Hospital, while 40 people are self-isolating at home. Family needs special attention in caring for self-isolation patients according to the 5 family tasks in the health sector, namely getting to know and modifying the home environment to prevent Covid-19 transmission. 19. Method. Design uses the Mix method with a cross sectional approach. The sample size is 40 patients in self-isolation at home using total sampling. Retrieval of data using questionnaires, and interviews. Bivariate Analysis: Chi-Square and Multivariate: Logistic Regression Test. Results: There is no influence of family knowledge of the Covid-19 problem on preventing Covid-19 transmission with a bivariate statistical test p-value 0.894 (p> 0.05). There is an effect of modifying the home environment of self-isolation patients on preventing Covid-19 transmission with the results of a bivariate statistical test p-value of 0.049. Conclusion: Modifying the home environment for self-isolation patients in preventing Covid-19 transmission is a health protocol that families must implement by including counseling family members by health center nurses

Abstract

Disasters can occur at any time and without knowing the time of occurrence. Some of the impacts of disasters that occur in life are damaged health facilities, lack of implementation of posyandu for the elderly and limited reach of health services, thereby increasing morbidity rates in the community, especially the elderly. One of the non-communicable diseases (NCDs) that often occurs in the elderly is hypertension. In the post-disaster period, elderly people who suffer from hypertension need to have their blood pressure monitored and controlled to prevent complications from hypertension. Hypertension is one of the main risk factors for global death and is estimated to cause 9.4% of world deaths annually (WHO, 2015). Cadre training in preventing post-disaster illnesses in the elderly is very important to minimize and reduce the risk of complications from hypertension in disaster victims. The aim of this community service activity is to control potential complications of hypertension in the elderly in the post-disaster period. The target of this community service activity is elderly posyandu cadres who live in Gheogoma Village, Ende District, Ende Regency. The method used in this activity is providing health education through counseling, mentoring and training of cadres, training in checking blood pressure. The location and time of the activity will be held on 12-13 June 2023 in Gheogoma Village, Ende District, Ende Regency. The results of the activity showed that 80 percent of the cadres had good knowledge and of the 12 participants, 11 cadres were able to measure blood pressure well, and 3 cadres were adequate at measuring blood pressure. It is hoped that cadres will continue to be active in measuring blood pressure and utilize the skills they have by carrying out blood pressure checks for Gheoghoma village residents who need them

Abstract

TB recovery is influenced by a good immune system and drugs and supplements that increase their killing power against Mycobacterium Tuberculosis. One ingredient that can be used as a supplement is propolis. The aim of the research is to prove the effectiveness of propolis with nanoparticle technology as a supplement in curing adult TB. Methodology: This research is an expressive research with a pretest posttest design. The research sample was 7 people with BTA (+) criteria as. The treatment for this research was the administration of TPR propolis (Turkish Propolis Ruqyah) with nano technology at a supplement dose of 1 drop per 10 KgBW. The symptoms felt are observed from the beginning of treatment until after giving therapy at the next control. Sig Value Results. Less than 0.05 is indicated by symptoms of cough accompanied by chest pain (0.031), anorexia (0.031), and decreased weight (0.016). These three symptoms show that there is a significant difference or influence on the symptoms of cough accompanied by chest pain, anorexia, and decreased weight before therapy and after therapy. Meanwhile, the symptoms of fever, malaise and cough with phlegm did not have a significant effect. The results of this study show that TB patients who received OAT therapy accompanied by the provision of nano-technology Propolis supplements were able to reduce the symptoms experienced by patients, namely reducing the symptoms of cough accompanied by chest pain, anorexia, and weight loss did not decrease.
