Abstract

Speaking skill, or mahārah al-kalām, is a skill that requires more than just linguistic proficiency; it also requires a certain setting and amount of practice. In addition to directly enhancing students' Arabic speaking abilities, the debate technique can unintentionally foster a language environment that has a significant impact on foreign language learners. The purpose of this study is to evaluate how well the debate approach works for enhancing Arabic speaking abilities. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach and is conducted in the field. The note-taking method is the data collection methodology, and the intralingual equivalent method is used to evaluate the collected data. Overall proficiency in speaking Arabic has increased significantly by 61.5% as a result of this study. There was an 84% rise in the pronunciation component when speaking skills were taken into consideration. The percentage improvement was 87% in the vocabulary area. The percentage rise in PBA students' debate in the comprehension area was 75%, the percentage improvement in the fluency area was 82%, and the percentage gain in grammar accuracy was 74%. Pronunciation and fluency had the greatest average scores across the five categories in the PBA student debate community's post-test evaluation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate how the Cake Mobile Application might be used as a tool for improving English-speaking skills. The cake mobile application is a smartphone-based application created specifically to make learning English easier. The Cake mobile application has features for learning English to students, such as voice recognition and speech recognition. This study included a review of the literature. A literature study is a method for gathering data that involves researching books, articles, documents, and reports related to problems resolved. The results show that the cake mobile app has many benefits for learning speaking skills, especially for young learners. It can be a way to help young learners get better at speaking in front of others and get their attention. Several suggestions can be made based on the research findings to improve the English language proficiency of young learners through the use of the Cake mobile app: (1) stressing the importance of learning through authentic language use and real-life scenarios to enhance speaking proficiency in real-world situations; (2) integrating speech recognition and AI-driven feedback mechanisms to provide prompt and accurate speaking proficiency assessments; and (3) regularly reviewing and updating app content to ensure that it is relevant and effective in achieving learning goals.

Abstract

يهدف هذا البحث إلى تحليل فعالية الوسيلة التعليمية بلوتاغون في تحسين مهارة الاستماع ومعرفة مدى صلاحية الوسيلة، وسهولة قراءتها، وجاذبيتها، ودورها في تحسين مهارات الاستماع لدى طلاب الصف الثامن، بالإضافة إلى جعل عملية التعلم ممتعة ومحفزة للطلاب في تعلم اللغة العربية. استخدم هذا البحث المنهج الكمي بنوع التصميم التجريبي (تصميم المجموعة الواحدة قبل الاختبار وبعده)، وهو تجربة تركز على مجموعة واحدة فقط دون وجود مجموعة مقارنة. وقد تم اختيار المدرسة المتوسطة الإسلامية الحكومية الأولى في كارانغانيار كموقع لإجراء البحث. وكانت عينة البحث مكونة من 30 طالبًا من الصف الثامن في المدرسة. وأظهرت نتائج اختبار العينات المستقلة (Independent Sample T-Test) قيمة Sig. (2-tailed) بلغت 0.005. وبما أن قيمة Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.005 أقل من 0.05، يمكن الاستنتاج أن هناك فرقًا ذا دلالة إحصائية بين النتائج قبل تطبيق الوسيلة بلوتاغون وبعدها في تعليم الاستماع للطلاب في دروس اللغة العربية.
