Abstract

The puerperium is the period after delivery up to 40 days when the reproductive organs recover. Postpartum services according to standards are provided to mothers and newborns from 6 hours to 42 days after delivery at least three times through home visits for early detection, treatment, or referral of complications that may occur during the postpartum period, as well as provide an explanation about health in general. One of the efforts made by the government is to procure MCH Handbook equipped with important information for mothers and babies, including screening for early detection of complications. Cadres will assist mothers in maximizing the utilization of MCH handbooks in the obedience of postpartum mothers to carry out postpartum visits, independent screening media for complications of the postpartum period and sources of receiving informational educational counseling during the postpartum period. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of using MCH handbook through the 40 Days CARE method for independently preventing complications in postpartum mothers. The design used was the Pre-Experiment (One Shot Case Study) with a sample of 30 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection used a questionnaire. Data analysis used T Test (α = 0.05). The results showed p value of 0.000, which means that there was an effect of using MCH handbook through the 40 Days CARE method on independently preventing complications in postpartum mothers. Based on this result, it is known that postpartum assistance has an influence and is effective in increasing the mothers’ independence in detecting and preventing postpartum complications, so the consistency in postpartum assistance and outreach to health cadres regarding this activity are badly needed

Abstract

Literacy and Numeracy are core skills that must be mastered by elementary school students. Learning with the same method for a long period often cause students quickly bored, including when learning literacy and numeracy at SD N 2 Temurejo Bangorejo. Therefore, making varied learning innovations is the main focus of the teachers at SD N 2 Temurejo. The learning process of literacy and numeracy is not limited, it is highly recommended to utilize the school environment and culture that is already known to all school components, especially students. Healthy Friday is a routine culture carried out every two weeks at SD N 2 Temurejo, where every school component will receive healthy food. This activity aimed to innovate literacy and numeracy learning make the provision of a Nutrition Information Label on food to in the Healthy Friday activity. This activity is carried out by providing nutrition information labels on fruit ice with the composition and nutritional value in it. After being given the nutrition information label, students are required to read and understand each component of the information listed on the label. As a result, in addition to getting healthy food, students also get new learning about the nutritional information of the food they will consume. Reading the nutritional components and nutritional content as a medium for improving understanding of literacy and numeracy learning has never been learned before by the students of SD N 2 Temurejo, therefore, this can be made an exciting learning innovation and have an impact on the literacy and numeracy abilities of elementary school students.

Abstract

I One major factor contributing to Indonesia's persistently high maternal death rate is infection, which typically happens in the postpartum phase. From the placenta's birth to 42 days after giving birth, there is a postpartum phase. One way to describe the postpartum period is as a transitional phase during which the reproductive organs revert to their pre-pregnancy state. A lot can happen during this period, so it’s important for postpartum mothers to stay aware of any changes in their bodies. By recognizing early signs, they can address potential issues quickly or even prevent them altogether. The utilization of KIA books can serve as a valuable resource for learning about postpartum issues; yet, many postpartum moms continue to use them in suboptimal ways. This study's objective is to In the Klatak Health Center's working area in Banyuwangi Regency, the usage of KIA books is associated with the ability to identify postpartum moms' danger signs. A one-shot, pre-experimental case study approach was used in this study. The sample, consisting of 30 respondents, was selected through purposive sampling. Analysis of the study results using the t-test revealed a p-value of 0.0000 < 0.05, indicating that the use of KIA books had a significant independent effect on the implementation of screening and complication detection for postpartum women. These findings demonstrate how crucial it is for new mothers to use the KIA book. Mothers will find it simpler to comprehend all of the challenging circumstances that could arise throughout the postpartum phase.Keywords: danger sign postpartum, KIA book, screening
