Abstract

Laboratory examination is very important to diagnose a disease, one of which is the examination of total cholesterol to diagnose heart disease, this examination uses serum samples obtained from blood clots that have been centrifuged, various variations of freezing are carried out to accelerate the examination results ranging from blood that is immediately centrifuged and blood that is allowed to freeze for 5-10 minutes, while according to PERMENKES No. 43 of 2013 to get blood serum allowed to freeze for 20-30 minutes at room temperature which is then centrifuged. This study aims to determine the results of differences in total cholesterol levels in blood samples immediately centrifuged and blood samples that are allowed to freeze at room temperature 260C for 10 and 20 minutes before centrifugation. The method used in this study is an experimental research method, this examination uses the CHOD-PAP enzymatic colorimetric method. For data analysis using the SPSS program using the one way anova test. This study was conducted on 15 respondents obtained from students of An Nasher Health Analyst Academy Cirebon randomly. The results of the examination of total cholesterol levels in blood samples that were immediately centrifuged had an average value of 205.8 mg/dl with the lowest value of 112 mg/dl and the highest value of 314 mg/dl, while in blood samples that were allowed to freeze for 10 minutes had an average value of 188 mg/dl with the lowest value of 144 mg/dl and the highest value of 278 mg/dl, and in blood samples that were allowed to freeze for 20 minutes had an average value of 142.6 mg/dl with the lowest value of 95 mg/dl and the highest value of 186 mg/dl. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference in total cholesterol levels in blood samples immediately centrifuged and blood samples left to freeze at room temperature 260C for 10 and 20 minutes before centrifugation.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is still one of the deadliest diseases in the world. Patients with tuberculosis will be given ati-tuberculosis drugs for 6 months. The administration of anti-tuberculosis drugs has 2 phases, for the intensive phase given for 2 months and for the continuation phase given for 4 months. There are types of anti-tuberculosis drugs that have nephrotoxic side effects. If the kidneys, especially the glomerulus, are not functioning properly, erythrocytes can be found in the urine. Normally, erythrocytes in the urine are 0-4 cells/LPB. If more than 0-4 cells/LPB it is called hematuria. This study aims to determine the description of the number of erythrocytes in tuberculosis patients at Arjawinangun Regional General Hospital. In this study using descriptive research method. This study was conducted using a microscopic examination method where urine will be centrifuged first and then made preparations using glass objects and covered with cover glass and viewed using a microscope with a magnification of 40x at least 10 Large Fields. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling. The population in this study were all outpatient TB patients at Arjawinangun Regional General Hospital. Based on the results of urine sediment examination at Arjawinangun Regional General Hospital, data on urine erythrocyte levels in tuberculosis patients obtained the lowest value of 0-1 cells / LPB. The highest value is 12-16 cells/LPB. The average value is 0-2 cells/LPB. The percentage of tuberculosis patients at RSUD Arjawinangun whose erythrocyte levels were positive was 13.3%.

Abstract

Sweet tea drinks sold by street vendors are susceptible to contamination by bacteria. The presence of excess or pathogenic bacteria in sweet tea can cause health problems such as gastrointestinal infections, hence it is important to ensure sweet tea is free from bacterial contamination that is harmful to consumers' health. This study used a survey research method. Sampling was done by total sampling. The samples of this study were 12 samples of sweet tea sold by sweet iced tea traders in Plumbon District, Cirebon Regency. Data analysis using percentages with simple calculations. Based on the results of the study, the highest bacterial contamination value was 16 × 105 colonies/mL and the lowest was 1.5 × 104 colonies/mL. Analysis of percentage data on 12 samples of sweet tea sold by sweet iced tea traders in Plumbon District, Cirebon Regency, 100% exceeded the threshold of the requirements of the Indonesian Food and Drug Administration Regulation No. 13 of 2019, making it unfit for consumption.
