Abstract

This research aims to improve learning activities and achievement in Hindu religious education and character in class VIII C students of SMP Negeri 2 Sawan, Sawan District, Buleleng Regency through the application of the Word Square Method combined with the Tri Kaya Parisudha Learning Model. This research is classroom action research carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, evaluation, analysis and reflection stages carried out in each cycle. The subjects of this research were students in class VIII C of SMP Negeri 2 Sawan, in the even semester, totaling 32 students consisting of 15 men and 17 women. Student activity data is collected using the observation method, while student learning achievement data is collected using the testing method in the form of objective tests in the form of multiple choices. The results of this research show that there was an increase in the Learning Activities of class VIII C SMP Negeri 2 Sawan in the Hindu Religion subject in cycle I with a score of 60%, while in cycle II with a score of 79%. So there is an increase in student activity in the learning process by 19%. For Student Learning Achievement, in the first cycle the class average score was 71.25 with an Absorption Capacity of 71.25% and Learning Completeness 62.5%. Meanwhile, in cycle II the class average was 80.62 with Absorption Capacity 80.62% and Learning Completeness 81.25%. Based on the results of this research, it means that there has been an increase in student activity and learning achievement in class VIII C of SMP Negeri 2 Sawan, Sawan District, Buleleng Regency. It is hoped that the Word Square method combined with the Tri Kaya Parisudha learning model can be used in the teaching and learning process to improve student activity and learning achievement in Hinduism subjects and other subjects.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Maboros tradition of a series of Pujawali by the people of Gunung Luwih Traditional Village as well as the stages and implications for the social value of communication in society. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection was carried out using observation techniques, interviews, and document recording techniques. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inductive techniques. The research results show that the meaning of the Maboros traditional philosophy is closely related to the piodalan ceremony at the village temple, where the meat of animals hunted in the forest can be processed into the contents of the kawas in a series of piodalan ceremonies at the village temple. The Maboros tradition is a series of piodalan ceremonies at the Gunung Luwih Traditional Village Temple which functions as a cultural function, social function and service function. The implication contained in the Maboros tradition is that there is sacredness and uniqueness when carrying out the ngider bhuwana ceremony and it has a dresta character. The meanings contained are religious meaning, cultural meaning, and educational meaning. The Maboros tradition aims to confine people's dirty thoughts so that they do not cause problems during the Pujawali Ceremony at the Village Temple.

Abstract

AbstrakThis research aims to increase learning activities and achievements in Hindu religious education and character in class IX students at Mutiara Singaraja Middle School, academic year 2023/2024 academic year through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model combined with teacher chess teachings to increase student activity and learning achievement of Hindu Religion and Character Education for Class IX of Mutiara Singaraja Middle School for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. This research is classroom action research carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, evaluation, analysis and reflection stages carried out in each cycle. The subjects of this research were class IX students at Mutiara Singaraja Middle School, in the even semester, totaling 16 students, consisting of 7 boys and 9 girls. Student activity data is collected using the observation method, while student learning achievement data is collected using the testing method in the form of objective tests in the form of multiple choices. The results of this research show that there was an increase in the learning activities of class IX students at Mutiara Singaraja Middle School in the Hindu Religion subject in cycle I with a score of 66.75%, while in cycle II with a score of 81%. So there is an increase in student activity in the learning process by 14.25%. For Student Learning Achievement, in cycle I the class average score was 77.81 with an Absorption Capacity of 77.81% and Learning Completeness 68.75%. Meanwhile in cycle II the average class was 82.5 with Absorption Capacity 82.5% and Learning Completeness 87.5%. So there is an increase in student learning achievement in the learning process by 18.75%. Based on the results of this research, it means that there has been an increase in student activity and learning achievement in class IX of Mutiara Singaraja Middle School. It is hoped that the (CTL) Contextual Teaching and Learning model combined with the Teachings and learning process to improve studend activity and learning achievement in Hinduism subjects and other subjects.
