Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of globalization and digitalization on civic participation in the modern era. Globalization and digitalization have changed various aspects of life, including the way citizens participate in political and social processes. This research uses a literature study method by reviewing various relevant literature, such as scientific journals, books and research reports, to understand how developments in information and communication technology (ICT), as well as global connectedness, influence patterns of civic participation. The research results show that globalization has expanded access to information and increased political awareness at the global level, while digitalization has made it easier for citizens to interact with governments and communities through digital platforms. However, this research also found challenges in the form of the digital divide, disinformation, and uneven engagement across various groups in society. Thus, this research provides insight into the opportunities and challenges in promoting inclusive civic participation in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the implementation of Google Lens in PPKn learning at SMP Negeri 35 Medan, to see the effectiveness of using Google Lens in improving students' understanding of PPKn material, and to identify the obstacles faced in its use as a learning medium in the classroom. The main problem raised is the lack of student interest in PPKn learning, which is caused by the conventional teaching approach and the limited interaction of students with the material visually and contextually, so that the understanding of important concepts is less than optimal. This research method uses a qualitative approach with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that Google Lens has been implemented in PPKn learning, making a positive contribution to increasing student interest and understanding through independent and interactive exploration of the material. However, several obstacles were found such as limited internet infrastructure and the need for teacher adaptation in integrating this technology optimally. Google Lens has proven effective in facilitating access to visual and contextual information, which has an impact on increasing student independence and understanding. The implications of this study highlight the potential of Google Lens as a valuable asset in education in the digital era and the need for infrastructure support and the development of innovative teaching strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas kebijakan penanggulangan kemiskinan dan ketimpangan di tingkat lokal, dengan fokus pada program yang dilaksanakan oleh pemerintah daerah. Melalui pendekatan analisis komparatif, kami mengeksplorasi bagaimana program-program tersebut berkinerja dalam mengurangi tingkat kemiskinan dan ketimpangan, serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan atau kegagalan mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian studi kepustakaan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas kebijakan penanggulangan kemiskinan dan ketimpangan di tingkat lokal, dengan fokus pada program yang dilaksanakan oleh pemerintah daerah. Melalui pendekatan analisis literatur yang komprehensif, kami menyelidiki berbagai sumber-sumber literatur seperti jurnal ilmiah, buku, laporan pemerintah, dan dokumen kebijakan terkait.
