Abstract

Meningitis is a global public health problem. The causes can be viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites. Meningitis is an infectious disease that cannot be overcome and is still a problem in developing countries. As a developing country Indonesia, Tuberculosis has a high number of cases throughout the year. Tuberculous meningitis (TB) is an infection byMycobacterium tuberculosisabout meningor brain parenchyma resulting variety morbidity and mortality. A 39 years old woman came to the emergency room at Drs. H. Amri Tambunan complained of seizures 1 day ago with a duration of more than 1 hour. Seizures are found throughout the body. Also a fever was found 1 day today. Shortness of breath and cough were found for the past 3 days. Decreased appetite has been observed for the past 1 week. There was no history of nausea and vomiting. Os post VP shunt installation on May 29th, 2023. Female patient, 39 years old, with a diagnosis of Tuberculous Meningitis with Hospital Acquired Pneumoniae has been hospitalized from 9 to 20 September of 2023. And also outpatient treatment at the Pulmonology Departement is recommended.

Abstract

Otitis eksterna adalah salah satu penyakit yang cukup sering ditemukan pada praktik klinis. Mayoritas kasus otitis eksterna terjadi selama musim panas dan pada daerah beriklim tropis. Kebiasaan sering mengorek telinga, adanya impaksi serumen, serta penyakit kulit seperti psoriasis juga menjadi salah satu faktor pemicu terjadinya otitis eksterna. Salah satu etiologi dari otitis eksterna adalah infeksi bakteri. Beberapa penelitian sebelumnya melaporkan bahwa terdapat beberapa spesies yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit ini, akan tetapi, pola kuman dan sebaran uji sensitivitas antibiotiknya bervariasi di tiap lokasi penelitian. Oleh karena itu peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian ini dan menjadikannya penting untuk dilakukan. Tujuan: Mengetahui pola mikroba dan uji sensitivitas antibiotik pada pasien otitis eksterna. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan desain cross sectional. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 20 subjek. Data pada penelitian ini merupakan data primer yang didapat dari swab sekret telinga luar penderita otitis eksterna di RS Bhayangkara TK II Medan dan RS Mitra Medika Bandar Klippa. Hasil: Dari 20 subjek didapatkan distribusi kelompok usia terbanyak adalah 21-30 tahun (30.0%), jenis kelamin terbanyak adalah perempuan (60.0%), jenis otitis eksterna terbanyak adalah otitis eksterna difusa (100.0%), kuman terbanyak adalah Staphylococcus aureus (55.0%) dan antibiotik yang paling sensitif adalah Ciprofloxacin (50.0%). Kesimpulan: Kuman terbanyak yang menyebabkan otitis eksterna adalah Staphylococcus aureus dan Ciprofloxacin merupakan antibiotik yang sensitif pada kasus otitis eksterna.Kata Kunci: Otitis eksterna, Pola kuman, Uji sensitivitas antibiotik
