Abstract

Program life skill mampu meningkatkan kemandirian anak dalam kemandirian. penelitian mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis manfaat program life skill dalam meningkatkan kemandirian anak. Pendekatan menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik purposive sampling, meliputi 11 informan terdiri dari 3 orang pengasuh dan merangkap sebagai pengurus, 8 anak bersekolah di tingkat SD. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dari observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program life skill yaitu daily living skill, vocational skill, dan personal social skill bermanfaat dalam  meningkatkan kemandirian anak di Panti Asuhan Harapan Tjitra Kota Bengkulu. Pada aspek daily living skill meliputi aspek  kemandirian emosional anak-anak mampu mengekspresikan emosi dan terbuka kepada  pengasuh, aspek kemandirian tingkah laku mampu melaksanakan kegiatan sehari harinya dan aspek kemandirian nilai mampu menerapkan nilai pribadi dan  juga nilai keagamaan. Selanjutnya personal social skill bermanfaat pada dua aspek kemandirian anak yaitu aspek emosional seperti kemampuan berinteraksi dengan teman dan aspek nilai yaitu menerapkan nilai keagamaan. Selain itu, vocational skill bermanfaat pada tiga aspek kemandirian anak baik emosional ditunjukkan melalui keterampilan enterpreneurship dengan tujuan meningkatkan skill dan pengetahuan. Maka anak-anak mampu menerapkan nilai pribadi tentang  skala prioritas dalam dirinya sendiri. Program life skill membantu kemandirian anak dengan kegiatan yang tersusun dan konsisten dilakukan serta didorong motivasi dari pengasuh. The life skill can increase the independence of the autonomy. Research described and analyzes the benefits of the program life skill in increasing the independence. Using qualitative research descriptive approach and Purposive-sampling technique, That includes 11 informants, consisting of 3 nannies and the caretakers, 8 children go to school on a high level. Data collection techniques are from observation., interviews and documentation. Research results show that life skills program is daily living skills. vocational skills, and personal social skills are useful in improving the independence of children in Children’s Orphanage Tjitra of Bengkulu city. The aspects of daily living skills include the aspects of emotional independence of children who are able to express emotions and are open to the nurse. The aspects of behavioral independence are able to perform daily activities and the aspects of value independence are able to apply personal values as well as religious values. Personal social skills are beneficial to two aspects of child’s independence: emotional aspects such as the ability to interact with friends and the aspects of value that are to apply religious values. In addition, vocational useful skill on three aspects independence children emotional shown through enterpreneurship skill with the aim of enhancing skill and knowledge. And be able to apply the child personal worth about the priority in itself. The program will help children with life independence activities composed and consistent and driven by the motivations of caretakers.
