Abstract

Rice is a vital crop for ASEAN countries, serving as a primary source of food security and playing a significant role in the regional economy. To draw lessons for rice supply and demand in Cambodia, this article will examine and briefly describe the rice markets in different ASEAN nations, including import and export, rice milling technology, government policy, obstacles, and opportunists. In Cambodia, a program utilizing the sustainable rice cluster (SRC) approach has been developed and put into action by the government in order to maintain the rise of rice production. Compared to traditional approaches, SRC has enhanced rice cultivation by about 40%. The key lessons Cambodia can learn are boosting domestic production, diversifying rice varieties, improving storage and distribution, practicing climate-smart practices, strengthening regional cooperation, improving market access, and farmer empowerment. By analyzing rice demand and supply dynamics in ASEAN and applying the lessons learned, Cambodia can strive to achieve self-sufficiency in rice production and reduce reliance on imports, increase the profitability and competitiveness of the rice sector, enhance food security for its population, and contribute to regional food security within ASEAN.

Abstract

This study of the literature looks at the connection between small and medium-sized businesses' (SMEs) business performance and their accounting procedures in the service sector. The study employs a systematic review methodology that includes a thorough screening procedure to find studies that match the inclusion criteria and a thorough search of academic databases using pertinent keywords. The data analysis entails a thematic examination of the chosen studies, with an emphasis on the kinds of accounting procedures that SMEs employ, the performance metrics that are employed to gauge the success of their businesses, and the degree to which accounting procedures and performance are correlated. The practical consequences imply that financial accounting methods can help SMEs in the service sector enhance their business performance. Nonetheless, it's important to give management accounting techniques a thorough evaluation. Investigating the moderating factors—such as the external environment and resource availability—that influence the relationship between accounting methods and business performance is one suggestion for further research.

The sample of the study was selected by using a purposive sampling technique and it comprised of 10 female university teachers. Two interview protocols, one each for workplace empowerment and organizational commitment were used to collect the data and thematic analysis was applied to analyze the participants’ interview transcripts. The results of the present study assist the prior research that workplace empowerment is the main contributor of organizational commitment. The results showed that teachers have a very little level of workplace empowerment as a result they were committed to a personal level of interest rather than that of organizational support. The study suggested that institutions should create an environment to enhance the perceptions of empowerment among employees that will positively influence them and it will eventually increase the institution's effectiveness and commitment.

Abstract

All managers these days search for the variables that impact individual or organizational outcomes such as productivity and performance. Organizational culture is among these variables. A growing number of people recognize organizational culture as a resource that businesses may leverage to boost productivity. Corporate culture is a crucial idea, yet it can be difficult to articulate in precise terms. In order to better understand how the term "culture" was appropriated by industrial organization academics to refer to organizational culture, this paper will first examine how the term originated in anthropology. A survey on organizational culture's function in organizations was conducted as part of the research. Long-standing beliefs and values inside an organization, as well as staff beliefs and the importance of their work that they anticipate will shape their attitudes and behaviors, are all considered aspects of its organizational culture. To achieve the organization's goal, administrators typically modify their leadership style, which may have an impact on how satisfied workers are with their jobs. Knowing how company culture, leadership style, and employee job satisfaction relate to one another is therefore crucial. Tales, customs, tangible symbols, and language can all be used to impart knowledge. Lastly, job happiness, commitment, empowerment, productivity, performance, and even customer satisfaction may all be impacted.

The future of the rice market in Phnom Penh looks promising and will bring significant economic benefits to the city. Cambodia has a strong foundation for rice farming because of its fertile land, experienced farmers, and growing research and development activities. The country is good at selling products to other countries, especially close ones. It's important to enhance product quality, meet international standards, and make the supply line more efficient. The industry is facing big challenges like climate change, changing prices, competition from other countries growing rice, and the need for improved facilities and market access. To enhance Cambodia's rice markets as well as improving productivity, make it easier to access markets, and increase support from policies. This will help provide enough food, improve life in rural areas, and grow the economy.

Abstract

An idea for sustainable agricultural development, new agricultural technology adaptation (NATA) in agricultural production helps overcome problems in agricultural production by utilizing the best aspects of technology application. In order to identify the obstacles and suggest some solutions for improving the NATA in agricultural production in Cambodia in the future, this research reviewed theoretical and practical difficulties on boosting NATA in Svay Rieng province. The study demonstrated that the NATA application in agricultural production is an unavoidable route for the agriculture sector development in Svay Rieng under the context of global integration and impacts of the industry revolution 4.0. This was based on secondary information and data from published papers and documents. Thus, the Cambodian government has recently given close attention to NATA promotion in agricultural output. Despite the impressive accomplishments, there are currently few businesses and farm households using NATA in agricultural output, and NATA growth in Svay Rieng still confronts many obstacles. Improving the current policy structure is essential for raising the NATA in agricultural output in Svay Rieng. Additionally, in the near future in Svay Rieng province, NATA application implementation, NATA development and planning, human resource training, credit assistance, and propaganda on the NATA's effectiveness in agricultural production should all be strengthened.
