Abstract

Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome disease cause HIV. This disease damages the body's immune system known as CD4. CD4 lymphocyte count is associated with disease progression, increased opportunism, and mortality. Laboratory examination required to determine the CD4 count using this method flowcytometry, and test viralload PCR method. The of research is analyze results of viralload and CD4 in HIV sufferers at RSUD Boyolali . Quantitative research method with analytical descriptive design. Data univariate and bivariate with the chi-square test to see the magnitude of relationship between the independent variables and HIV infection. total of 94 patients in 2022 showed several normal and abnormal results, where values were normal viralload <10,000copy/ml low, >100,000copy/ml high, and <40copy/ml not detected. Normal CD4 results 410 – 1,600 cells/ml and low <500 cells/ml. CD4 research results and viralload normal 43 (46%) patients, CD4 results and viralload abnormal in about 9 (9%), and 1% of patients with normal CD4 countsviral load abnormal patient has not received treatment. CD4 examination uses the method flowcytometry whereas viral load using the PCR method and blood plasma samples. There is relationship viralload method PCR dan CD4 method flowcytrometry with significance value of 0.013. Further research needs to be carried out using experimental methods.

Abstract

Thyroid disorders are conditions of abnormalities in thyroid gland. According to function, thyroid disorders are divided into three, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism and euthyroidism. To detect thyroid disorders, can use laboratory test examination of TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) hormone. The aim is to determine the description of TSH levels checked periodically in patients with thyroid disorders using immunological methods. Research method is a case series method or case-by-case using secondary data from TSH hormone examination results in 2020-2022. The results were from 93 respondents based on age showed that 20-30 years old 11.8%, 31-40 years old 26.9%, 41-50 years old 26.9% and 51-60 years old 34.4%. Based on gender, 20.4% were male and 79.6% were female. Then we looked at changes in TSH hormone in patients with thyroid disorders by randomization 10 respondents. It was found that the changes were caused by consumption of anti-thyroid drugs, Thiamazole, Propranolol, Thyrozol, Propylthiouracil, Levothyroxine. Respondents with thyroid disorders were mostly found in 51-60 years and were female. There are changes in TSH hormone levels in patients with thyroid disorders were anti-thyroid drugs. The immunological method used ECLIA (Electrochemiluminescence Immunoassay) method. Factors that influence examination are the condition of sample and patient.

Abstract

Non-Communicable Diseases (PTM) are chronic diseases with a long duration with a generally slow healing process or control of clinical conditions. Unhealthy lifestyles such as uncontrolled diet, lack of physical activity, and smoking habits contribute to the increase in the prevalence of NCDs worldwide. Diabetes mellitus is a type of PTM that now infects many people starting from their teenage years. Therefore, this community service was carried out as an initial screening effort related to the health condition of adolescents and young people in Wonorejo hamlet through a series of basic examinations including measurements of height and weight, blood pressure, blood glucose levels at the time, uric acid levels, and blood group tests. Most of the health examinations of adolescents and young people show results within the normal range. This results that the health condition of ORMAMI members is healthy and in the same. This activity is important to be carried out continuously as a preventive measure against various types of diseases.

Abstract

Thyroid disorders are a problematic condition in individuals due to dysfunction of the thyroid gland, such as changes in its form and function. The most common thyroid disorders include hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. This study aims to identify and analyze TSH, FT3, and FT4 levels in individuals diagnosed with thyroid disorders. This research uses a cross-sectional method by collecting secondary data. Secondary data for this research was obtained from records of TSH, FT3 and FT4 hormone examinations in the laboratory at Anutaloko Parigi Regional Hospital. This data covers the period January to December 2024, then processed and analyzed using descriptive statistical tests in SPSS, then presented in table format. Based on age characteristics, the majority of respondents with thyroid disorders were aged 25-59 years with a percentage of 25 people with hyperthyroidism and 11 people with hypothyroidism. Respondents with the most thyroid disorders were diagnosed with hyperthyroidism rather than hypothyroidism. The total number of patients who had TSH, FT3 and FT4 checked at Anutaloko Parigi Regional Hospital found that patients with hyperthyroidism were predominantly female and aged 25-59 years.

Abstract

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common malignancy with the highest incidence and mortality worldwide. Currently, approximately 60-70% of CRC cases are diagnosed at an advanced stage. Early detection through screening strategies can provide better results in reducing the burden of disease. The Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR) test plays a role in predicting the risk of tumor recurrence and the prognosis of CRC. Research related to the NLR test as a systemic inflammatory response in the early stages after surgery is still limited. This study aims to analyze the results of the NLR test in CRC patients who have undergone surgery. This study used a descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach. Data were obtained from the medical records of patients at Panti Rapih Hospital in Yogyakarta who met the inclusion criteria. Bivariate analysis was performed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) with the Chi-Square test to assess the influence of each risk factor (age, gender, and cancer stage) on the post-operative NLR ratio. The results showed that most CRC patients were male, with a mean age of 62.15 years, and most patients were in the elderly category (60-69 years), with most malignancies in stage II. Most patients had a normal postoperative NLR ratio (<5), indicating a low risk of recurrence. Age significantly affected the postoperative NLR ratio. The conclusion of this study is that an increase in postoperative NLR can assess the potential for recurrence and prognosis of CRC cases
