Abstract

This research aims to find out how parenting patterns have developed in the Batak Toba ethnic in the Samosir Region and whether the Toba Batak tribe community in the Samosir Region uses a parenting style that involves hitting (Authoritarian). This research was conducted in Ambarita Village, Simanindo District, Samosir Regency with a population of 400 heads of families. The sample used was 80 parents. This research uses a combination method (Mix method) using a Sequential Explanatory research approach. Data processing techniques are carried out by distributing questionnaires and conducting interviews. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the parenting pattern applied by the Toba Batak tribe is 85% democratic parenting, parenting patterns authoritarian 15%, permissive parenting is 0%, that is, there are no parents who apply permissive parenting (abandoning the child). 1) parents who do not give freedom to children and restrain children 2) parents who give punishment by hitting or pinching when the child makes a mistake. This research will have an impact on parents in communities who have children to apply parenting patterns that are in accordance with the characteristics of children and provide input and encouragement to children to find the best way to achieve their goals

Abstract

The background of this research is that the evaluation of learning outcomes carried out in the 2013 Curriculum-based learning process often does not comply with the standards for assessing the results of the 2013 Curriculum learning evaluation. The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the implementation of learning evaluation principles at SDN 060970 Bagan Deli , Medan Belawan City. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used observation sheets and interview sheets for management of 2013 curriculum learning evaluations. The population of this study were all homeroom teachers who taught using the 2013 curriculum at SDN 060970 Bagan Deli. The results of research conducted by researchers at SD Negeri 060970 Bagan Deli, Medan, Belawan City for the homeroom teachers of classes III, V and VI, there were 3 problems experienced by teachers in implementing learning outcomes evaluation in the 2013 Curriculum, including that the assessment of learning outcomes was not in accordance with assessment standards. 2013 Curriculum. The main aspects of the 2013 Curriculum are Graduate Competency Standards (SKL), Core Competencies (KI), Basic Competencies (KD), and Scientific Approach and Authentic Assessment-based indicators.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between learning styles and English learning outcomes of fifth grade students of State Elementary School 060967 Medan Belawan. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. This type of research is correlational. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students at State Elementary School 060967 Medan Belawan, totaling 34 students with random sampling technique. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the conditions for the hypothesis to be accepted based on the Product Moment correlation test are if thitung > ttabel, thitung = 0.486 and t table = 0.348, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Students with visual learning styles are 18 people (52.94%), auditory learning styles are 8 people (23.52%), kinesthetic learning styles are 5 people (14.70%), visual auditory learning styles are 1 person (2.94%), and visual kinesthetic learning styles are 1 person (2.94%). Thus, it can be said that the learning styles and English learning outcomes of class V of SD Negeri 060967 Medan Belawan have a relationship (correlation).
