Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of competence and emotional intelligence on employee work productivity with work motivation as an intervening variable on Solok City Regional Secretariat Employees. The method used is multiple linear regression analysis and path analysis, by distributing 97 questionnaires. The results of the study There is a positive and significant effect of competence on work motivation at the Solok City Regional Secretariat. There is a positive and significant effect of emotional intelligence on work motivation at the Solok City Regional Secretariat. There is a positive and significant effect of competence on work productivity at the Solok City Regional Secretariat. There is a positive and significant effect of emotional intelligence on work productivity at the Solok City Regional Secretariat. There is a positive and significant effect of work motivation on work productivity at the Solok City Regional Secretariat. Work motivation is able to mediate the effect of competence on work productivity at the Solok City Regional Secretariat. Work motivation is able to mediate the effect of emotional intelligence on work productivity at the Solok City Regional Secretariat. Finally, the author suggests to the Regional Secretariat of Solok City to further improve the emotional intelligence of employees because it has the most dominant value of influence on work productivity at the Regional Secretariat of Solok City

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of leadership style and functional position on ASN careers through motivation as an intervening variable at the Solok City Regional Secretariat. The method used is multiple linear regression analysis and path analysis, with a sample of 70. The results of the study obtained a significant influence of leadership style on motivation at the Solok City Regional Secretariat. There is an insignificant influence of functional position on motivation at the Solok City Regional Secretariat. There is a significant influence of leadership style on ASN careers at the Solok City Regional Secretariat. There is a significant influence of functional position on ASN careers at the Solok City Regional Secretariat. There is a significant influence of motivation on ASN careers at the Solok City Regional Secretariat. Motivation is able to mediate the influence of leadership style on ASN careers at the Solok City Regional Secretariat. Motivation has not been able to mediate the influence of functional positions on ASN careers at the Solok City Regional Secretariat. Finally, the author suggests to the Solok City Regional Secretariat to further improve its leadership style because it has the most dominant value of its influence on ASN careers at the Solok City Regional Secretariat

Abstract

MSMEs play an important role in the Indonesian economy, including in the culinary sector such as Comel Cake and Bakery in Padang. However, challenges in increasing productivity and competitiveness are obstacles that must be overcome so that businesses can survive and grow. This study aims to analyze the strategies implemented by Comel Cake and Bakery in increasing operational efficiency, product innovation, and digital- based marketing in order to face industry competition. The method used is a qualitative approach with interview techniques, observation, and literature studies related to MSME management. The results of the study show that increasing productivity is carried out through optimizing the production process, employee training, and using quality raw materials at efficient costs. Meanwhile, the strategy to increase competitiveness involves product diversification, strong branding, and utilizing social media and e-commerce to reach a wider market. In addition, support from the government and the MSME community also contributes to accelerating business growth. By implementing this strategy, Comel Cake and Bakery is able to increase production volume, expand market share, and obtain greater profits. This study provides insight for MSME actors in adopting the right strategy to increase competitiveness in the digital era. Therefore, synergy between innovation, technology, and supporting policies is the main key in encouraging the sustainability and growth of MSMEs in the culinary sector.
