Abstract

The criminal act of fencing in Dutch is called Heling, which is a serial crime, which means that the crime is a follow-up crime related to the predicate crime. Basically, the crime of collection does not stand alone, but is a crime that begins with a predicate crime, so whether or not a person is suspected of committing a crime of collection, it must first be clear what the predicate crime is, this is a condition for determining in advance. whether the goods he obtained were from crime or not. seen from the point of being responsible, only someone who is capable of being responsible can be held accountable for his actions. what he gets is the proceeds of crime, which often happens in society. Law enforcement that is created is directed at efforts to strengthen the law by realizing justice and certainty by harmonizing legal needs in society itself.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out what obstacles occur during Room Service services and to find out the implementation of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) at Mandapa A Ritz-Carlton Reserve.Research methodology: This study uses primary and secondary data through observation and interviews. Data was collected by observing 5 staff at In Villa Dining regarding the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) at Mandapa A Ritz-Carlton Reserve.Results: Based on the observation results, there are two Standard Operating Procedures: Telephone Service Assistance (TSA) with 31 work instructions (29 always carried out, 2 not always), and Entering Guest's Villa with 16 work instructions (15 always carried out, 1 never carried out).Conclusions: This study concludes that there are two Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) implemented in Room Service, namely SOP Telephone Service Assistance (TSA) and SOP Entering Guest's Villa. Most of the instructions in both SOPs have been carried out properly by the staff. However, there are some instructions that are not always or never carried out optimally due to situational conditions and guest preferences.Limitations: This study has limitations in the scope of observation which is limited to one specific time and place, so it cannot describe the application of SOPs as a whole in various operational conditions and different locations.Contributions: This research makes a real contribution in understanding the level of SOP implementation in Room Service and identifying obstacles faced in the field. The results of this study are expected to be input for hotel management in improving service quality through evaluation and improvement of SOPs that are more adaptive to the needs and situations in the field.Keywords: Hambatan, Penerapan, Room Service, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).How to Cite: Yudistira, I. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using debate as a method to enhance Thai students’ English-speaking skills at Darul Ulum School, Satun, Thailand. The research was conducted using a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, which focused on the integration of debate activities into the learning process to improve students’ speaking proficiency. The participants of this study consisted of 30 students from Class X at Darul Ulum School. The data were analyzed using the paired sample t-test to assess the improvement in students' speaking performance before and after the intervention. The results showed a significant increase in students’ English-speaking skills, with a p-value less than 0.000 and a t-count of 6.901, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.669. These findings indicate that the use of debate significantly enhances students’ speaking abilities. Debate encourages real-time thinking, promotes critical analysis, and helps students articulate their thoughts more clearly and confidently, making it an effective strategy for improving English-speaking skills in the classroom.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang tradisi bertenun pada masyarakat Simalungun yang menghasilkan hasil tenunan yang dalam etnis Simalungun di sebut hiou. Hiou adalah sejenis pakaian seni yang terbuat dari potongan kain khas Batak, memiliki corak dan dimensi tertentu, dan dipakai sebagai bentuk perlindungan bagi tubuh dengan makna kasih sayang yang berlimpah. Artikel dengan judul “Sejarah dan Fungsi hiou dalam Aspek Kehidupan Masyarakat Simalungun” ini berfokus pada sejarah Hiou Simalungun beserta fungsinya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada artikel ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur atau studi pustaka. Sumber data yang diperoleh melalui studi literatur berupa jurnal karya ilmiah yang relevan dan berkaitan dengan topik yang dibahas, yaitu Hiou Simalungun, serta sumber data pendukung lainnya yakni artikel daring yang berkaitan. Simalungun memiliki berbagai jenis Hiou yang tak luput mempengaruhi aspek-aspek dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakatnya, baik dari aspek sosial, aspek budaya, dan juga aspek ekonomi.
