Abstract

This study aims to determine the thinking of humanistic educationPaulo Freire and Ki Hadjar Dewantara and possible relevance in Islamiceducation through developed values. This research is a descriptiveanalytical literature research, using the method of documentation, andanalyzed critically-comparatively. This method is used to find out thethoughts of Paulo Freire and Ki Hadjar Dewantara's humanisticeducation, the differences and similarities of both, and how farhumanistic education has relevance to Islamic education. The results ofthis study indicate, there are some similarities and differences betweenthe thinking of humanistic education Paulo Freire and Ki HadjarDewantara. Some of the values that have been the pressure points of thethoughts of Paulo Freire and Ki Hadjar Dewantara that can be linked toIslamic education are: First, human values. Second, the value of equalityor equality. Third, all three want students to actively participate or takepart in the course of the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

The independent curriculum is the latest innovation in basic education which aims to provide freedom and flexibility for teachers to choose and manage their own curriculum. One of the main goals of implementing the independent curriculum is to improve students' critical thinking skills. Critical thinking skills are important intellectual skills that prepare students to face the complexities of the modern world. The aim of this research is to evaluate the impact of implementing the independent curriculum on primary school students' critical thinking skills.  As educational institutions, schools have a responsibility to help students develop critical thinking skills.  This research uses the PTK type of research (Classroom Action Research). The research method involves collecting qualitative data through observation and interviews.  The subjects in this research were class IV students at SDN Tenjolaya IV, Kasomalang. Research shows that students' critical thinking abilities increased significantly after implementing the independent curriculum from previously getting 75% to 85% in the good category. Then followed by cycle II which has a higher percentage than cycle I, namely with a percentage of 85% higher and has a very good category.

Abstract

Evaluasi pembelajaran merupakan elemen krusial dalam pendidikan untuk mengukur pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran dan meningkatkan efektivitas pengajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kepustakaan dengan sumber data dari buku, jurnal, dan situs internet. Evaluasi pembelajaran dilakukan melalui tes dan non-tes untuk menilai aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi tidak hanya mengukur kemampuan siswa, tetapi juga memberikan umpan balik bagi guru tentang pemahaman siswa. Evaluasi efektif membantu dalam pengambilan keputusan dan perbaikan program pembelajaran, serta mendorong motivasi belajar siswa dan kualitas pengajaran. Evaluasi yang baik mencakup proses dan hasil pembelajaran secara proporsional, dengan tujuan utama membantu siswa mengembangkan potensi terbaik mereka. Evaluasi formatif dan sumatif berfungsi memperbaiki hasil belajar dan menentukan keberhasilan belajar siswa. Evaluasi yang tepat mendukung pengembangan kurikulum, akreditasi sekolah, dan peningkatan program pendidikan.

Abstract

This study focuses on developing an Islamic-values-based educational game to enhance critical thinking skills among students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). In the digital era, MIs face challenges in adapting technology for learning, including limited infrastructure, teacher competency, and curriculum relevance. A significant issue is the low critical thinking skills in some subjects, as traditional learning models often fail to foster higher-order thinking abilities like analysis, evaluation, and problem-solving. Critical thinking is essential for 21st-century challenges and the demands of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Educational games offer a creative and interactive learning alternative, proven to boost learning motivation, active participation, and critical thinking through engaging experiences. They also foster cooperation, problem-solving and provide immediate feedback. A key challenge is integrating Islamic values into digital learning media, which not only builds student character but also aligns educational innovation with Islamic education goals. This research aims to develop an educational game that effectively enhances critical thinking while internalizing Islamic values such as honesty, responsibility, and cooperation, ensuring comprehensive and meaningful learning.
